Teddy was first to wake, the sun was just barely coming up, she started to slowly rub her eyes to keep them open. She looked right beside her, there was Cristina sound asleep. Teddy was feeling thirsty, so she got up and out of bed, she slowly walked to the kitchen, turning all the lights on as she went. After successfully getting her water she heard Cristina calling for her, but she didn't say anything is response.

"Teddy? Teddy?" Cristina was really quiet, and she was sounding groggy

Cristina was starting to get worried, she didn't know where Teddy had gone and all the lights were on.

"Baby? Where are you?" she said as she was getting out of bed, no answer. So Cristina went to go look for her.

She ended up colliding with Teddy in the bedroom door frame, Cristina scared Teddy which resulted in her dropping her glass full of water. It shattered all over the floor, glass was everywhere. A couple pieces hit Teddy's foot and cut it in a few different places. Teddy knew it shouldn't have hurt as much as it did, but she still started to cry.

Cristina was happy to have found Teddy, but felt awful that she had scared her enough to drop her glass. Teddy was now crying and Cristina didn't know why, she just assumed that the shatter of the glass scared her. So, she picked her up to try to calm her down, so she could bring her back to bed. While turning off all the lights she felt something wet hit her foot, she looked down and there was blood dripping onto the floor.

Teddy was still crying, there was blood, glass and water all over the floor, Cristina really needed to up her game. So, she went back into the kitchen and set Teddy down on the counter to check to see where she was bleeding (Cristina knew that she wasn't the one bleeding, so it had to have been Teddy). When Cristina saw all the cuts on Teddy's feet she felt horrible, so she tried to go to the closet to grab the first-aid kit but as she turned around to leave and fetch it, Teddy started to cry louder and whine. Cristina turned around and tried to soothe her.

"I know honey, can you just let me go get the kit so you can feel better?"

Teddy responded with shaking her head no, she wanted Cristina to keep holding her. Cristina didn't know what to do, she wanted to help Teddy but to do that she needed the first-aid kit. So, she did something that she knew wouldn't end very well, Cristina turned around and ran to the closet as fast as she could, avoiding the water puddles so she wouldn't slip and injure herself. When she grabbed it and was making her way back, the only thing she could hear was Teddy sobbing to herself.

"I'm coming, baby."

After she had gotten Teddy all cleaned up, Teddy was still crying, Cristina didn't care about everything on the floor, she just had to get Teddy to quiet down. Cristina tried to pick Teddy up to bring her back to bed, but she wouldn't allow her to.

"No-o, le-ave me alo-ne, i fi-ne" Teddy talking between her sobs

"Sweetie, I can't just leave you. Let me pick you up so we can go and try to get more sleep. We can cuddle. Doesn't that sound nice?" Teddy just kept shaking her head no at her.

"Teddy, please?" Teddy wouldn't say anything to her and just kept shaking her head no

"Why not, baby? Why can't I bring you back to bed?" Cristina didn't understand why Teddy was being so stubborn.

"A'-cause y-ou le-ft me" Teddy didn't know why she was speaking weirdly, she had never said 'a'cause' before.

Cristina had never heard Teddy speak like that before, Teddy kept breaking her heart and then make it jump for joy. She now understood why Teddy wouldn't let her pick her up, because she had left her to go and get the first-aid kit.

"Oh my princess..."

Cristina had never called her that one before, Teddy and Cristina decided that they liked this name the most, Teddy was so close to letting Cristina pick her up. Until Cristina had picked her up, against her will. Teddy tried to get Cristina to put her down, but with Cristina's strength and Teddy not having any energy, she put up a very little fight. Cristina was slowly and carefully (avoiding everything on the floor) making her way back into the bedroom, lightly bouncing Teddy as she went.

When she was in the room, Cristina turned the lights off but kept the bathroom light on for Teddy and was walking around the room still trying to get her to sleep (Cristina made a mental note to get a night light for her apartment and for Teddy's, because sleeping with the bathroom light on wasn't the best). Every now and then she would get a "no, stop" or a "put me down" from Teddy, but Cristina ignored them, she knew that getting carried and the bouncing was lulling Teddy to sleep.

Cristina saw out of the corner of her eye, Teddy raising her arm and hand towards her mouth, signaling to Cristina that Teddy was almost sleeping. So, she made her way to her side of the bed, instead of putting Teddy down first and getting in next to her, Cristina kept holding her while getting into bed, with her legs wrapped around her waist.

When Cristina got all settled she lied down still carrying Teddy, Cristina held Teddy's head close to her chest and exhaled deeply. She looked down and Teddy was trying to keep her eyelids open, with her thumb still in her mouth.

"Go to sleep princess, you're ok. Go to sleep, i'm right here" Cristina said whispering in Teddy's ear.

"otay, g'nite" Teddy said half-asleep while she was nuzzling further into Cristina's chest

"I love you, baby" Cristina said while giving Teddy a kiss on the head, she was starting to feel tired herself now

"Yuh-you, too"

That was the last thing Teddy said before falling asleep, when Cristina had heard this her heart melted, she just wanted to coo at her baby.
