I'm here for you, always

Part 17

Cristina woke up with Teddy cuddling into her side instead of being on top of her. Cristina heard Addison and Meredith's laughs coming from downstairs, so she decided that Teddy can sleep a little longer while she goes downstairs to see what they were doing.

Cristina slowly look Teddy's arm and head off of her chest and laid them down beside her. She gave her a kiss on the head and then snuck out of the bedroom. 

Cristina walked into the kitchen, Addie and and Meredith were laughing and dancing making pancakes. Addie was about to say something to Cristina but she put her finger up and stopped her

"Nope...coffee first, then good morning." Cristina was sleepily grabbing a mug.

"Well, good morning to you too. How'd you sleep?" Addie laughed

"I slept fine." Cristina looked at the clock, 6:24 am, "Teddy should be getting up soon, we gotta get to work. How did you two sleep?" 

"We slept pretty good, right Mere?" 

"Yeah, I would've slept better if you weren't snoring in my ear." Meredith giggled

"Oh really? Fine, two can play that game. I would've slept better if you weren't sleeping on top of me." 

Cristina just rolled her eyes at them laughing, 'Who has this much energy this early in the morning? Teddy and I aren't like this until the afternoon.' She thought.

"Well i'm going to go to the bathroom." Cristina said putting her mug down, Addie gave her a quiet 'ok'.

As she was walking to the bathroom Cristina thought she heard Teddy calling 'mommy'.

"Addie?" 

"Yes Cristina?"

"Can you go check on Teds? I think I heard her." 

"Yeah, sure. I'll check on Jo too."

Addie left Meredith with the pancakes because she was big, and made her way upstairs. She first checked on Jo who was still sleeping away. As she got closer to Teddy's door she heard whining, 

"mommy? mommmy?"

Addison opened the door, Teddy was happy at first thinking that her mommy came, but then realized it was only Addie.

"Good morning Teds."

"mommy?"

"Mommy went to the bathroom quickly, can I take you downstairs, babe?" All Addison got in response was a whimper and a nod. So she carely picked Teddy up and placed her on her hip, carrying her down the stairs, meeting Cristina at the bottom.

"Well good morning princess." Cristina smiled

Teddy held her arms out to Cristina, Addie handed her over.

"hi momma." Teddy whispered snuggling into Cristina's neck.

"How did you sleep, bubs?"

"otay."

"Sorry Teds, but I got some bad news." Cristina sat down in the kitchen holding Teddy still.

"no, momma." 

"I know princess, but we have to go to work today." 

"momma, noo." Teddy started to tear up

"Teddy, we have to, we've missed a lot of work lately."

Teddy was very upset, she didn't want to go to work, she was angry with Cristina. Teddy wanted out of her momma's arms, but still wanted to be carried, so when Cristina put her down, she walked to Addie with her arms up. Addison was taller than everyone, so they all looked up to her.
