I'm here for you, always

Part 11

Teddy had woken up beside Meredith, Addison was gone, so she quietly made her way outside of the room to the hallway. She heard Cristina's voice, she wanted to run down the stairs and see her but she sounded like she was crying, so she waited. 

"Addie, I just don't know what to do. Teddy needs me one second and then the next she doesn't care for me, I don't know what to do." Cristina sounded really desperate

"Cristina she needs you, it may sometimes not seem like that but she does. You should have seen Teddy last night, she missed you and felt awful, she couldn't stop crying. She didn't want me to comfort her, she wanted you." Addison wasn't lying, Teddy really did want Cristina last night, and it showed.

Before Cristina could say anything in response, Teddy came running down the stairs. She jumped into Cristina's arms

"Hey baby" Cristina was crying, she missed Teddy so much last night

"Hey, mommy." 

Teddy did it, she called Cristina 'mommy'. That took the three of them by surprise. Cristina started crying harder, while carrying Teddy. Cristina felt awful about leaving Teddy by herself, and now she had called her mommy. Oh god she was feeling all different kinds of emotions.

"Baby I am so sorry for what I pulled last night," Cristina debated on whether or not she should say it "mommy never should have left you."

"It's ok mommy, your here now. I should have answered your pages, it wasn't your fault, you were just worried" Cristina could feel her heart skip a beat everytime Teddy called her mommy.

All this crying woke Meredith up and she started crying upstairs because she didn't know where her mommy was. There were a lot of tears shed that morning.

The four of them decided to go out for breakfast together, Cristina had brought some of her clothes for her baby to where. They decided to go to this new breakfast place recommended by Callie for littles and their caregivers, Teddy and Meredith were being really snuggly that morning, they both just wanted to be held by their mommies. 

During breakfast Meredith and Teddy had both noticed that their mommies weren't paying much attention to them, but they were to each other. Teddy could feel herself feeling smaller and smaller, she was slipping (between the two little ones, Teddy was the youngest). So she started to nuzzle into Cristina's side more and more, trying to get as close as she could.

"Your ok princess, mommy's right here, do you want to sit in my lap?" Cristina was whispering to Teddy

"Ye-ah" Teddy whispered back

"Ok, c'mere" Cristina lifted Teddy and put her on her lap, Teddy started cuddling into her chest, trying to hide her face because of how embarrassed she was.

"Awww, you two are so sweet together." Addison was cooing at Teddy and her mommy. Meredith then decided she wanted to sit on Addison's lap to colour. 

As they were about to order, Addison saw Callie and Arizona walk through the door. Callie was carrying Arizona, and her purse, her arms were full. So Addison put Meredith down and went to help

"Meredith hunny, I'm going to go help Callie, give me a second." Addison rushed over to them said Hello, and then took Arizona from Callie. Cristina and everyone at the table could hear Addison cooing at Arizona (Teddy was the youngest being around 1 1/2  then it was Arizona at 3 and Meredith was the oldest being 4 in headspace). Addison would love to have another little who was littler than Meredith. 

"Hey Callie, hi Arizona" Cristina was happy to see them again, Arizona had given Cristina a small 'hi' back.

"Hi Cristina, now who is this cutie?" Callie said gesturing to Teddy who was all snuggled up on her mommy's lap, hiding her face. All of this was making Teddy nervous and embarrassed.
