I'm here for you, always

Part 16

Cristina had made a reservation at a very fancy 5 star restaurant. The both of them were very excited for dinner. They were seated in a booth across from each other, the restaurant was very busy, all reservations were booked. They both ordered wine, Teddy got a salad, and Cristina got a steak.

"Babe, you sure you're ok with just a salad?" Cristina was worried she would still be hungry

"Cristina, i'm fine, don't worry about me." Teddy smiled

"Ok, if you're sure." 

Teddy was lying, she didn't feel very hungry, and to be honest she was scared. There was a big man a couple tables over that kept staring at her, he was making her very uncomfortable. Cristina noticed that Teddy was getting bothered by something.

"Teddy baby, come sit over here with me." Cristina said grabbing her salad and wine and putting it next to hers.

When Teddy got out of her seat the man stopped and just stared at her. So she hurried to sit with Cristina.

"What's wrong bubs?" Cristina pulled Teddy close to her side.

"i-i-i don't know, that man keeps staring at me." Pointing to him "I don't know, i'm being stupid, it's fine." Teddy answered under her breath.

Cristina looked to where Teddy was pointing, she immediately saw the man, and made eye contact with him. 'Jesus, what steroids is he on? He's giant.' Cristina thought to herself.

"You're not stupid bubs, don't worry about him, just eat your salad. Here have some of my steak." Cristina said holding her fork out to Teddy

Teddy took a bite and smiled. Cristina was with her, she was watching her, she was fine.

"Thanks."Teddy got up and gave Cristina a kiss on her cheek "I'm going to the washroom." 

"Ok babe." Cristina smiled

As she watched Teddy walk away, she saw the same man stand up and follow Teddy, staring at her. 

"F**k no. Don't you dare." Cristina said under her breath, standing up to follow him

When Cristina made it to the washrooms the same man was about to go into the women's washroom. 

"Um, excuse me that's the women's. The men's is right there." She said pointing to the correct door.

He just ignored her and grabbed the handle

"Don't you f**king dare." She said putting herself between him and the door

 "THAT-" She said pointing more aggressively "is the MEN'S."

The man grumbled frustrated and walked into the men's room. As the door closed, Teddy walked out of the women's, bumping into Cristina

"Oh! Hi Cristina, what are you doing here?" Teddy was startled 

"Nothing, just wanted to come get you, I'm ready to leave." Cristina replied taking Teddy's hand, squeezing it.

"Oh, ok." Teddy squeezed Cristina's hand back.

When they walked out of the restaurant Cristina pulled Teddy aside and gave her a hug. She held her tight, and sighed. 

"Love you, Teds."

"Love you too." Teddy gave Cristina a kiss, but not on the cheek ;)

Cristina felt bad that she cut their dinner short, but she couldn't have Teddy there with that god-awful man.

"Teddy, bubs, want to go get ice cream?" Cristina asked as they were walking down the street
