I'm here for you, always

Part 13

Teddy was currently in a CABG, it was a simple surgery, everything was going well. Cristina was doing charts at the nurses station, talking to Meredith. Then all of a sudden, a huge bang went through the hospital, followed by people shrieking and screaming. It sounded like a gunshot. Everyone's pagers went off, code silver

"Meredith, what's code silver?" Cristina asked, thinking hard to remember all the different codes.

"Cristina...someone in the hospital has a weapon, we are going on lockdown." Meredith said, her face going pale.

"What?! What do you mean? Teddy is in a surgery right now!" Cristina said panicking, trying to go to the elevator to the OR, she could feel the tears forming.

"CRISTINA! We can't leave! We have to stay put!" Meredith yelled at her, grabbing her hand, pulling her back to the nurses station.

"MEREDITH! TEDDY IS PROBABLY SCARED OUT OF HER MIND! ADDISON IS PROBABLY JUST AS SCARED AS I AM. YOU AREN'T THE CAREGIVER, YOU'RE THE LITTLE! YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT I'M FEELING RIGHT NOW!" Cristina didn't mean to be so mean towards Meredith (she had started to cry a little), but she needed to make sure Teddy was ok. 

Cristina was correct, Addison was going crazy, she had Jo silently crying in her arms, she was quietly searching the hospital for Meredith. Cristina's yelling lured Addison towards them.

"Meredith! Baby, come here." Addison raised her voice a little, Meredith spotted her and ran towards her empty arm. After a little bit, Addison took her two littles, and Cristina towards behind the counter. Poor Addie, she had three people crying softly. Jo and Meredith were scared out of their minds, and Cristina was scared for Teddy. She wanted to comfort her right now, like Addie was to her littles.

Teddy was panicking, she had an OR full of people, including Bailey, hiding from the shooter. Teddy was trying her best to finish the CABG asap. When she had finished the last stitch, there were loud boots coming from down the hallway. Teddy could feel her heart drop, she wanted Cristina so badly. The boots were getting louder, walking down the hallway. She could hear the shooter laughing and slamming doors open. 

"WHERE ARE YOU?!?!? COME OUT!! I WON'T HURT YOU IF YOU GIVE ME DEREK SHEPHERD!!" Bailey immediately recognized his voice, this man was Jeremy Cogney (He isn't a character, I just thought of the name lol). He was the brother of Isaac Cogney, one of Derek's patients that did not make it.

Jeremy was getting closer to their OR, Teddy had started to cry, actually it wasn't just her, everyone was. They were all huddled into the corners of the room, Teddy felt like this was it, they didn't have Derek in their room. What was Jeremy going to do to them? She could feel herself slipping, she needed Cristina. Her thoughts were interrupted when the door slammed open, he had made it to their room...

Cristina, Addison, Jo and Meredith had all been found by the police. They were brought outside, where they spotted Callie with Arizona and April. They had a very hard time getting Cristina out of the hospital, she needed to go and find Teddy. When they finally had gotten her outside, she had broken down, sitting on the parking lot ground balling her eyes out. Addison and Callie were trying their best to comfort her, it wasn't working, the only thing that would make her stop would be having Teddy in her arms.

Jeremy was in their room, shoving people around, looking for Derek. 

"WHERE IS HE?!" He screamed in people's faces, making them sob harder.

"he isn't in here." Teddy tried to speak up but she couldn't

"WHAT DID YOU SAY??" Jeremy walked to Teddy and screamed in her face
