I Miss You Dad

"Whatcha doin?'' My boyfriend Tom asked me, lifting one side of my headphones off so I could hear him. "Just trying to finish this project," I said laughing a bit. "Well are you comin to bed tonight or are you gonna pull another all-nighter on me?" he asked, putting my headphones back on me. "I'll come to bed tonight," I say hitting the save button on the drawing app and closing the music tab on my computer. "Really?" he asks excitedly, his tail wagging fast behind him. "Yah I thought it wouldn't be fair of me to have you sleep alone for two nights in a row. Anyways I think I need a break from that project for a while, kind of don't know where i want to go from there, you know?" I asked him, letting out a sigh. "What's wrong?" he asked, taking my headphones off me. "I... I just miss him," I say looking at the screensaver of my computer. "I know babe... I know," he said soothingly stroking my head. We stood there for a bit just looking at me and my dad both smiling and giving a peace sign to the cameraman. I let out another long sigh as I felt my eyes starting to tear up. "Hey... look at me," Tom said, lifting up my chin as I turned in my spinny chair to face him. "It wasn't your fault, nevertheless there wasn't anything you could do... so don't blame yourself alright?" he asked. I just nodded as I looked in the corner at my katana in its velvet casing. "Now come to bed... please?" he pleaded. "You'll feel better," he said taking hold of my hands. "Alright," I said. "Alright," he responded. I looked back at my computer and before I could start crying I shut the screen off. 'Goodnight' displayed across the screen and then went dark. "Alright here I come!'' I yell as I jump on Tom. "Haha, feelin better babe?" he asked laughing. "I am," I said smiling, my tail wagging fast behind me. "Alright get changed," he said letting me down gently. He took his shirt off and started unbuckling his belt and I did the same. "Well I'm happy that we can sleep together, makes me feel safe when you're here with me," he said taking off his jeans and putting on his sleep shorts. "Well, I feel safe when I sleep with you too. It's not every day that you get to sleep with a wolf, right?" I ask him jokingly. "Part wolf excuse you, and you're one to talk," he says, laughing a bit. "You got me there I got to admit," I say as i started climbing under the covers. "Now come here," I say reaching out for him. "You really want me?" he asks teasingly. "Oh you little-" I say grabbing him and pulling him into a kiss. When we detach from each other he laughs. "Wasn't expectin that," he says blushing and getting under the covers. "Well what did you expect?" I ask him. "Not really sure to be honest." He says turning me over so my back faces him. "I'm just glad that we found each other at Mika's party, who knows where we would be right now if it wasn't for her," he says, pulling me close to him. I smile a bit as I feel his chest hair tickle my back. "I'm glad too," I said as he wrapped his arms around my chest. "Sleep now babe... We have class tomorrow." Tom says sleepily. "I will..." I say kissing his hand as he pulls me in closer to him. "Will you try tonight?" He asked me hesitantly. "I will..." I say. "Thank you," he says kissing my shoulder. A few minutes later he was fast asleep.
