It was a long walk to the carnival but it was a nice walk. The air was light but chilly with the smell of popcorn in the air. "Y'all smell that? We're getting close," Tom said, holding my hand tighter. I could tell he was excited. "Yah I do, it smells like popcorn," I said. I heard Sabrina huff. "Lucky," She said. "What's her deal?" I asked Tom. "She got this nose job a couple months ago and it kind of fucked up her sense of smell," he said laughing a bit. "It's not funny!" Sabrina pouted. "It kind of is, not going to lie," I said, joining Tom's laughter. "You guys are such dicks," she said, blowing the hair out of her face. "Sorry," Tom said, trying to compose himself. I tried to do the same. "Damn babe, she's so much better than Mika," I said rubbing up next to Tom. "Tell me about it," he said wrapping his arm around me and pulling me in close. He's... so warm. "Who's Mika?" Sabrina asked curiously. "Just some girl that throws these awesome parties that me and Shino like to go to, but get this, she tried to take my pancakes," Tom said. "Yikes," Sabrina said. "It's a passive rule to not touch another wolf's food, what is she? Like a lion or something?" she asked curiously. Me and Tom burst into laughter. "How'd you know?" Tom said trying to catch his breath after laughing so hard. "Just sounds like something a lion would do," she said. "It's in their nature, all food is everyone's food and they just assume that other peoples food anyone can take," she said, feeling smart. "That explains a-lot," I said. "But still, she tried to take my pancakes," Tom said. "True," Sabrina said. "Oh babe look," I said pointing to the fair. "Wow, it's really bright huh?" he asked. I nodded. "So, where do you guys want to go first?" Sabrina asked. "Maybe some games?" Tom suggested. "Alright, let's get to it then," she said impatiently. Me and Tom nodded. "Here we come," Tom said pointing to a booth. "Already?" I asked. "Why not?" he asked. We walked over to the food stand and got two caramel apples and wandered around the carnival hand in hand while Sabrina played every single game. "Wait babe, you smell that?" he said excited. "What is it?" I asked curiously. "It's an ocean..." he said smiling. "You know what that means right?" he asked, rubbing my head. "Of course I do," I said , pushing my head into his palm. "Are you two going to fuck already? We just got here," Sabrina said behind us. Me and Tom laughed. "As a matter of fact, we were, so if you will excuse us, we're gonna be back," Tom said, tossing Sabrina his half eaten apple. I saw Sabrina wave at us then walk away taking a big chunk out of the apple.
