A couple hours later, all of the guests left and Justin's parents walked into the living room. "Hey kids, can we talk for a second?" Justin's dad said sitting down on a nearby chair. Me and Justin both sat up as Justin's mom sat down in another nearby chair. "So Shino, I don't find anything wrong with you dating my son, but I would like to know your roots, like where you came from," Justin's dad said. "Basically Shino, we would like to meet your mom and dad, if that's okay with you," Justin's mom said. Me and Justin looked at eachother. "What should I tell them?" I asked Justin. "Well, the truth obviously," he said. "Well, both of my parents are dead. Mom died giving birth to me and dad was murdered when I was eighteen. If you would like to talk to them, then this is your best bet," I said getting my velvet sack and offering it to Justin's dad. He untied the string at the top and took out the katana. "It was my fathers, that's the last thing I have of him and I take it everywhere with me because it makes me feel like he's still here," I said as I heard Justin's dad unsheathe the blade. "Daichi Hiroshima," I heard Justin's dad say. And I broke down crying. "I just can't believe he's gone," I said crying into Justin's chest. I felt him hold me tightly, not saying anything, just comforting me. "Im... so sorry Shino," I heard Justin's mom say. I heard Justin's parent's whisper but i couldn't make out what they were saying since I was crying so much. Then I felt someone gently pull on my arm. I looked over and Jax was sitting on the floor near me. He lifted his arms and I picked him up and set him on my lap giving him a hug. "Thank you uncle Shino," he said running away upstairs. "Did he just..." I said to Justin. "He did," he said smiling. "Well Shino, I think I speak for all of us when I say, welcome to the family," said Justin's dad. "Thank you sir," I said wiping my eyes. "You don't have to use pleasantries, our family now, call me Shepard." he said smiling. "And you can call me Jackie," Jackie said. "Thank you," I said smiling. "Anyways, you kids are welcome to stay the night if you wish, if you want to leave we completely understand," Shepard said. "I think we're going to head out," Justin said. "Alright, take care of Hudson you hear? I swear if anything happens to him, I'm going to blame you first," Shepard said. "You have my word sir," I said. "I like this kid, you found a rare one, a polite wolf," Shepard said. "See you kids later," Jackie said, hugging us both. "Uncle Shino! Are you leaving?" Jax asked. "I am," I said , kneeling down. He lifted his arms again and I gave him one final hug. "Bye uncle Shino!" Jax said as he returned upstairs. "Bye Jax," I said smiling. "You ready?" Justin asked behind me. I nodded. "Thank you again for letting me attend your party," I said to Justin's parents. "I can't get enough of this kid, come here, you're not leaving without a hug," Shepard said, hugging me tightly, his buff arms almost suffocating me. "Dad! Dont kill my boyfriend please," he said laughing. "Oh sorry kiddo, did i hurt you?" Shepard asked. "No, I'm alright," I said smiling. "Alright babe, let's head out," Justin said. I waved goodbye to everyone and held Justin's hand as we walked back to his car. We got into our respective seats and we drove home.
