my dearest granddaughter, Emma,

You have an amazing head on your shoulders. From the day your mother gave birth to you, I was so proud. I knew you would grow up to be such an incredible woman, and you outshined even the greatest of my expectations. You are such an intelligent, kind, empathic, and adaptable woman. When I go, I will always be looking over you and smiling.

That being said, I know you, and I know you feel overwhelmed with the fact that I am gone. I know I'll miss you too, but we'll see each other again someday.

You need a break, which is why I have enclosed two sets of keys and a set of instructions in this envelope. I know it won't make sense at first, but just trust me. Okay?

The first set of keys are to an old Volkswagen van that your uncle and I fixed up into a motor home. The second is to a beach house in Atlanta.

It's yours now.

Well, once you complete every task on the list I gave you.

My most important advice to you is to take Ethan Dolan with you. I know it doesn't make sense to you, but I want you to trust me on this.
