*Lily's POV*

Today, on this sunny Saturday, I was planning on going to the mall with six friends to enjoy getting new things, drinking our favorite coffee, and snacking on Bread Co foods.

But, instead, my insistent boyfriend begged me to go with him and his friends to play football with them in our school's football field.

So, here I was, in my boyfriend Matt's jeep as we rode down the bumpy road to field.

Matt lent me his old football jersey that I wore baggily over my under armor. I also wore capris and tennis shoes, Matt wearing his regular uniform.

"I know you don't want to do this but it'll be fun" Matt assures as he takes my small hand in his, kissing the top of it.

I smile, blushing. "I'll try to enjoy it" I say.

Matt sighs and then starts playing with my hair, trying to stuff it in my mouth and rub it in my face, making me spit it out and groan annoyedly.

"Matthew Lee Espinosa I spend hours on my hair!" I yell as Matt laughs and let's my hair go, parking his car and then kisses my cheek lightly.

"I wuv you Wily" Matt coos as he jumps out of his car, rounds around the car, and then carries me out of the car.

I giggle about the way he said my name and then lean into his chest. "Yeah I know you do" I joke, giggling.

Matt sets me down to stand in the chilly air and then whispers "Plus, you look sexy in my jersey."

I blush as Matt nuzzles his nose onto my cheek. I smile. "You're cute" I say truthfully.

"You're adorable" Matt says back, kissing my temple.

Right then was when all "cuteness" stopped.

Matt's football friends showed up and distracted Matt from me from then up. The only attention I got from Matt was football instructions.

Then he got in position and I was left alone with the three other guys on my team.

Of course, Matt and his team got many points one after one. Soon enough, after being tired of Matt tackling me to the ground, no, not teasingly, but actually tackling me, I tagged out.

Spencer went in for me as I sat on one of the field's benches, squirting some of my bottled water out of the cap and directly into my mouth.

I was tired, and completely done with this. I thought it was going to be a cute football date alike of the pictures on Tumblr, but no, I was muddy everywhere, even on my cheeks and nose.

I was grossed out, wanting a shower, and had to put my straightened hair into a high pony tail because half of my hair was sloshed with muddy water.

Suddenly, Dylan, Matt's oldest brother, tagged out and sat beside me as he slugged water into his mouth.

I sigh and smile friendly at him as he nods his head as a greet.

"You doing okay?" Dylan asks, knowing exactly that I wasn't.

I start my list. "Well, my hair is now brown because of all the dirt in it, I have so much mud on my face, it's camouflaged, and I think I swallowed some grass from Matt's last tackle" I gag, picking through my teeth.

Dylan chuckles and then shakes his head. "Matt can be very competitive, you should know that by now."

I sigh. "I know it, but I didn't think he'd ever get competitive with me..."

"He gets competitive with mom and dad, as if it makes you feel any better, he gets competitive over you all the time" Dylan says, slugging more water.

I frown. "What do you mean?"

Dylan chuckles. "Any time anyone tries to get you something or do anything with you Matt instantly steps in. Dad even once even wanting to teach you how to mow the lawn but Matt pushed him out of the way and had you sit on his lap on the mower" Dylan recalls.

I smile, remembering that day. "Oh yeah."

Dylan rolls his eyes and then gets to the point. "If you really want some help, I can give you some pointers."

My eyes immediately brighten. "Yes, please!" I beg.

Dylan chuckles and then gives me all the pointers he could. I listened more intently than I ever have in school or even at my own Uncle's funeral.

Once Dylan was done, I instantly jogged onto the field and pulled Kyle out of the field. He frowned at me but I just shooed him away as I stood in front of Matt, ready for the game.

Matt squinted me down with a smirk as I squint back with no type of smile but a straight face.

Once the play started, I did everything Dylan taught me, and believe it or not, I got a touch down; the winning point.

Matt puts his hands behind his head in stress but still smiled goofily at me. I smirked at him and then stepped up to him cockily.

"Congratulations" Matt says with no enthusiasm whatsoever.

"One more thing" I request, then step back a couple steps, then run up to Matt. I jump onto Matt and tackle him to the muddy ground as he groans from the speed of my run.

He laughs as I grab mud from the ground and smear it on Matt's face, making all his friends and even himself laugh.

"Even though somehow you beat me at my own sport, I somehow am still in love with you" Matt says as he pulls me more downward to him by tugging on the jersey I wore.

Our dirty lips connected as we kissed lightly, Matt smiling into my lips.

"I have to admit how hot it is that you won" Matt confesses as he kisses me harder and runs his hand through my hair.

I laugh and then run my muddy hands through his hair. "You're right" I admit. "This was fun."
