The Quidditch World Cup

 

A month had passed , leaving it to be August. Walking with Draco and his father you guys made your way through crowds of quidditch fans . Quidditch was never something you cared for but you were glad to have been invited.

  " who do you think will win ?" Draco asked curiously as the three of you walked down stairs. Looking over you shrugged before going back to looking around.

  " I'd say the Irish."

  
   "Blimey dad , how far up are we ?" A familiar voice spoke , looking up you noticed the The weasleys as Lucious began to make a remark.
  " well put it this way , if it rains you'll be the first to know."

  Your eyes met Harry's for a moment , the two of you gazed at eachother causing you to look away and put on a face of disgust.

  " we're in the minister's box , by personal invitation!" Draco cheered as the two of you pushed yourself of the railing and began to walk again, you both stopped when Lucious pushed his cane into Draco's chest and gave him a warning. Before you could begin to walk again Lucious hit his cane on the walk way above you causing you to narrow your eyes.

   " do enjoy your time , while you can."

  His words echoed in your mind as you began to remember what he and your parents had been talking about , No one would tell you what was planned but you knew you didn't like how secretive everything had become with your families. Making your way to the ministers box the three of you passed and greeted politicians.

Part of you new this wasn't going to be your thing , but if Draco wanted you here then so be it. Feeling someone shoulder check you , you turned around disgusted but a smile grew on your face as you saw a familiar boy.

  "Well if it isn't Cedric Diggory, always running into me are we ?" You teased earning a smile from the older boy and a scoff from your blonde companion.
  " It's my pleasure to honor you with my presence." He teased back , before you could say anything you felt Draco grab your wrist

  " we really must go now , we don't have time for silly hufflepuffs." Draco sneered before dragging you off , turning back to look at the boy you had been dragged away from you smiled and waved shortly . Feeling Draco's burning glare you rolled your eyes and laughed before nudging him.
  "Don't be so jealous darling." You teased , the boy besides you began to stutter and scoff.

  " me , Jealous of him ? Oh please y/n he's nothing compared to me."

   " I don't know Malfoy..." you trailed off as you stopped in your place and looked around , causing Draco to stop and gaze at you .

 

  " he's pretty charming too."

   As the night winded down Draco and you found yourselves walking around the tents laughing and cheering along with other fans.
 
  " popcorn?" A lady at a stand asked , stopping you smiled and handed her a galleon in exchange for a bag. Draco eyed the bag confused causing you to laugh.

" what never seen popcorn?" You asked with a laugh , your laughing stopped when you realized he hadn't.

  " no way-"

  " stop now while you're ahead." He responded blankly looking at you causing you to become quiet. A smile rose to his face which in turn caused one to grow on your own.

   " thank you for tonight malfoy." You smiled up at the blonde boy , he smiled down at you too . A sweet moment seemed to fall on the two of you . Despite the crowds walking past you felt as if it was just you guys .

  " y/n..." Draco spoke , his voice was the only thing you could hear .

  " we need to go now."

  All of the sudden with his urgent words you began to hear the screaming and chaos that had began around the two of you. Looking around you observed people in hoods begin to March into the crowd , before you could look back at Draco he grabbed your hand began to drag you with him while he muttered things to himself.

   The crowds got stronger , and your off guard state didn't help as you got knocked over and hit the ground.

  " Draco?" You called trying to stand up but couldn't find the blonde anywhere . Feet stomped past you , women,  and kids screamed while you knelt on the dirt holding the back of your head . Brushing off your knees your tried to stand up but got knocked over again.

   " Y/n!" A voice called , looking over you felt relieved seeing Cedric pushing past people to get to you.

  " funny seeing you here." You joked as he grabbed your hand softly and stood you up. Rolling his eyes he laughed.

" not quite the time for jokes. We need to get somewhere clear then we can apparate out of here . Are you okay with that?" The oddly calm boy asked you while looking into your eyes . Nodding flustered you allowed him to lead you out of the crowd.

  Tents began to catch fire as the two of you ran hand in hand past people . Finally making it to an open field you looked around at all the people still fleeing. Looking up at Cedric who was grabbing his wand out of his pocket you wondered who the people in hoods  had been.
 
  " where too ?" You asked the boy next to you as he grabbed your hand once more.

  " do you trust me?" Cedric asked looking you in the eyes , nodding you smiled too.

He smiled and the next thing you knew you were infront of a cozy looking home , you knew the area seeing as it was near Luna's and The Weasley's. Following Cedric up the lawn you looked around at scenery and stars . A lady with brown hair rushed out the door and wrapped Cedric in a hug , you stood awkwardly watching the two.

  " thank goodness you're alright , your father said he lost you and we've been worried sick-"

  " Mum ... please." The boy begged embarrassed causing you to smile to yourself. The lady who you just found out is Mrs. Diggory turned to you finally acknowledging your presence.

   " Hi I'm Y/n Wyllt." You spoke formally while putting out your hand for her to shake , ignoring your hand she gave you a warm huge too. You hesitated to wrap your arms around the kind lady as you looked at her son with a questioning look.

  " I'm glad you're both okay. Please come in and have a cup of tea." She spoke kindly , nodding you followed her into the house . Sitting down at a small table you smiled at the family of three while Mrs. Diggory handed you some tea.

  " so when do you want to go home?" Cedric asked before sipping his own cup of tea , the word home made you shudder slightly.

Home wasn't something you knew well , your parents were lovely sure but not affectionate and never payed much attention to you.
  " whenever you want me gone." You spoke with a small laugh , the three Diggory's smiled themselves and nodded.

   After talking to Cedric and his mom for awhile Cedric led you outside after grabbing his broom. You watched as the older boy mounted his broom and waited for you to hop on.

His father had bragged about all of Cedric's accomplishments, while his mother asked you about yourself. You wouldn't dare tell your friends but you enjoyed the company of the Diggory's and being in there cozy home.

  " thank you for everything, really I don't know how to repay you." You confessed as the two of looked at eachother in a comfortable manner.

  " A date with the prettiest girl at hogwarts would be repayment enough ." Cedric responded charmingly, laughing warmly you nodded.

  " it's a deal."

  And with those words Cedric helped you on the broom and took you home under the stars.
