Walking into the great hall you felt an overwhelming sense of joy , hogwarts was home . Being back was something you had longed for all summer.
" oh my bad!" A voice called as they accidentally shoulder checked you , turning around you scoffed at the silly Ravenclaw that had bumped into you.
" look at that mop on Potter ." Pansy poked with a grin as the two of you walked past the gryffindors , a smile grew on your face as you watched Harry raise a brow and his companions to look offended.
" haircuts must be out this year , greasy is in." Blaise added on as he eyed the Weasley twins , letting out a giggle you knew the Gryffindor table wasn't amused by your words and fun.
" and practicing dark magic must be in too." A voice called at you from the gryffindor table, turning around you observed Hermoine's smug face .
Silence and shock fell over the Slytherin table as your friends sat down in their seats , leaving you and Hermione to be the only two standing up as more students passed in the chaotic hall.
" the mudbloods got something to say?" You asked knowingly with a chuckle , earning grins and whispers from the Slytherin table.
Taking steps closer to Hermione with your arms crossed she covered her nerves with a smug look.
" I'm not sure why you think you can accuse me of such things. I'd watch your back granger." You warned , Before the fluffy haired girl could say anything Ron pulled her down to sit and turn around . Smiling triumphantly you went back to your own table and friends.
" who shoved a stick up her arse?" Someone asked causing you to smile and shake your head . A hush came over the hall as everyone sat down and Dumbledore stood up to speak.
" this must be about the boat and carriages we saw." Pansy whispered among your group
" I'd like to make an announcement. This castle will not only be your home this year , but home to some very special guests as well." Dumbledore's voice rang through the hall , demanding silence and the attention of every student .
Before the headmaster could finish his next sentence he was interrupted by filch
" what a git." You jokes quietly with your friends , laughing at the poor mans expense.
" so hogwarts has been chosen to host a legendary event , the triwizard tournament."
Looking at Draco his eyes met yours as you shared a glance , remembering that Draco had told you about the tournament. The hall broke out into whispers and quiet chatter.
" for those of you that don't know the triwizard tournament brings together three schools for a magical contest. For each school a single student is selected to compete . Now let me be clear , if chosen you stand alone and trust me when I say that these contests aren't for the faint hearted ; but more on that later." Dumbledore explained as he looked out among the intrigued and excited students
"Are you going to try to join Dray?" Pansy whispered warning an eye roll from yourself.
" now please join me in welcoming the lovely ladies of the beuxbattons academy of magic , and their headmistress madem Maxine."
The doors opened as Dumbledore finished his sentence to reveal a group of stunning girls , dressed in blue as the danced down the rows.
" wow."
" holy cricket-" the boys around gawked , crossing your arms you narrowed your eyes at the girls and your friends.
" you're practically drooling Draco." You informed with an unamused expression.
" jealous are we?" Blaise teased while nudging your side , rolling your eyes you looked away and back towards the girls who now made butterflies appear. Clapping along with your peers you waited for the next school to be announced.
" and now our friends from the north , please greet the proud sons of Durmstrang. And their headmaster Igor karcarof."
Your eyes widened at Dumbledores words and your head shot around.
" look how excited wyllt is now." Crabbe jokes as the boys from durmstrang entered the hall with sticks.
You watched as your familiar friend entered with his peers , they did their own over the top enterance earning "wows" and gawking girls.
" looks like Draco's the jealous one now." Pansy joked earning chuckles and a scoff from the unamused boy.
" oh please , how could the Slytherin prince ever be jealous of..."
" a death eater." Blaise finished Draco's sentence in an unamused tone while his eyes followed the boy the rest of your friends watched too. Shooting him a glare you scoffed.
" you don't know him Blaise." You defend Gene , Blaise chuckled and shook his head .
" do you?" He shot back , earning a cocked eyebrow from you.
" hogwarts ! Let's entertain our friends in the best way we can , all rise." Professor Dumbledore called out , standing up you looked at the front of the hall . Students began singing along .
" what the bloody hell is this?"
" just sing along." Pansy giggled as she nudged you and pointed to the magic banner .
As you began to mouth the words you glanced over at Draco who was already admiring you.
