The July heat surrounded you as you sat at your desk sending an owl to Pansy . Summer Breaks were different at Hogwarts compared to Ilvermorny, you guys left Hogwarts in June and came back in September. Your mother knocked on your bedroom door as she opened it , looking at your smiling mother you raised a brow. " y/n Dear were heading to see the Malfoy's and some friends to discuss.... things. Would you like to come?" You mother asked with a smile , looking around your room before looking back to her you nodded. Telling you to get ready you stood up and walked over to your closet. Your closet was a two off button ups and skirts , your parents always wanted you to look nice when going out.
Grabbing your outfit you slipped on an all to familiar green pleated skirt with a white button up , even if it was hot you had to look presentable. Fixing your h/c hair into a ponytail while you looked in the mirror and put on a little bit of mascara but no other makeup you smiled at yourself. " y/n hurry up!" Your dad yelled up the stair case , quickly you walked out of your room and ran down the stairs.
Your parents always Apparated to places seeing as it was the quickest way to get to where you were headed . It wasn't long before you were on the steps of malfoy manor . Your dad knocked on the door , a house elf opened it causing you to smile at the creature.
" look who's arrived!" Narcissa cheered as the three of you entered a dining room , you smiled at Draco who stood my his mother . Looking around the room there were a few adults you had no clue of , you raised a brow seeing a small man with buck teeth . " Draco why don't you take miss Wyllt upstairs and keep yourselves busy while we talk." Lucius spoke in his normal cold tone , Draco obliged . Walking up the stairs the step of you stayed quiet, you observed the Dark walls as you made your way to the second bedroom in the hall.
" Home sweet home ." Draco joked as he opened the door , looking around you smiled at his messy room. You expected his room to be dark and boring but his walls were lined with Quidditch posters and pictures of him and his family. Draco had a small black desk , a wardrobe and dresser , and a queen sized bed all in a medium sized room.
" your room is very..." you trailed off as you walked around and touched some of the posters.
" childish ?" Draco joked with a laugh causing you to shake your head. " it's refreshing." You spoke softly with a smile as you turned to look at the boy , he returned the smile as he sat on his bed.
" I expected everything in your life to be dull , I'm quite relieved." You joked as you sat next to him . He chuckled heartily causing you to smile. " So y/n I'm going to the quidditch World Cup with my father and I was wondering if you'd join me ?" Draco asked , you smiled but it soon fell when you thought about his girlfriend.
" why aren't you taking Prudence?" You asked confused , Draco's grin fell causing him to look at the ground. " she broke up with me ." He confessed, your mouth dropped . You didn't understand why she'd do such a thing , you all thought she was practically obsessed with him.
" well um I'd love to join you and your dad , even if I don't know much about the game." You responded with a laugh .
" Draco do you know what our parents are discussing?" You asked genuinely curious , Draco shrugged causing you to nod . You felt like he was lying but maybe you were just over thing right ?
" my father says the tri wizard tournament is coming to Hogwarts this year ." Draco informed , you raised a brow seeing as you had never heard of it before. " it's a dangerous competition , Hogwarts and two other schools will have one student represent each school . The best student and school will win , hopefully it'll be Hogwarts." Draco spoke with a smile , nodding you wondered what schools would be there .
" let's go for a walk." You spoke abruptly while standing up , putting out your hand Draco took it and smiled to himself. " sure but just be quiet when coming down the stairs."
Walking slowly down the hall you guys tried to not make a sound , voices could be heard from the dinning room and house elves walked by doing chores. Making your way to the bottom of the step Draco looked at you. " hold on I'll be right back , stay right here." He mouthed , nodding you watched him walk to the kitchen quietly. Your curiosity got the best of you as you subconsciously found yourself getting closer to the dining room.
You listened intently as people talked and discussed it was hard to hear what they were saying , putting your ear to the door you hoped to be able to hear better.
" come next year the boy will be dead." A voice you didn't recognize spoke , your mouth dropped as you stumbled away from the door . Stumbling back you tripped on your foot , before you could crash into the table behind you Draco caught you swiftly. His expression hardened as he grabbed your hand and led you quietly out of the house.
" Draco!" You whisper yelled as he Dragged you to the garden , him ignoring your pleading made you more angry.
" Draco Malfoy!" You yelled once more impatiently causing him to turn and look at you. " what are they talking about in there ?" You asked now more demanding then when you had earlier.
" I don't know y/n but it's best for both of us to just stay out of it ." Draco explained except this time you did believe him , his face seemed genuine and it made your heart feel funny. Walking around the garden you smiled while observing the peacocks in the distance. The two of you sat down on a stone bench and watched quietly.
" are you excited for this school year?" You asked curiosily " yes , i hate being home."
" next summer we should spend together, so you're not so bored." You suggested with a soft voice , Draco looked over at you with a small smile and nod .
" that could be worked out" the blonde next to you spoke with a charming grin causing you to smile to yourself.
"What happens to the winner of the tournament?" You asked curiously while turning your head to the boy besides you. " eternal glory and such ."
Looking at Draco you gazed into his blue orbs , subconsciously you felt yourself blush as he did the same. " I missed you Wyllt." He whispered softy in the moment , his words sent your blush over the edge causing you to smile and look at the grass.
" I missed-"
" Children ! It's time to go!" Narcissa called cutting you off . Standing up you reached a hand out for Draco to take. Smiling he took it and let you help him.
" Well , I'll see you at the World Cup." Draco reminded as the two of you stood facing eachother . Nodding you smiled and watched the handsome blonde give the palm of your hand a kiss .
Watching him walk away you bit the inside of your cheek and subconsciously smiled to yourself.
