Finn tapped his foot anxiously against the carpeted floor of House chamber gallery. He leant over the balcony to stare down onto the House floor with it's beautiful pattered blue carpets, rich wood panelling lining the walls and desks setup in a semicircle around the center niche where the Speaker of the House sat proudly in front of the regal Stars and Stripes.

Normally Finn loved everything political and seeing the democratic process in action, but he couldn't help but be preoccupied in this particular moment. It was the day of the vote on the GOP proposed Religious Freedoms Bill which proposed to make it the law of the land that businesses should be able to deny service to clients based solely on religious conviction. Though the bill proposed isn't particularly specific, it would indelibly affect LGBT clients more than anything; the whole ordeal beginning with a baker who denied a lesbian couple's request for them to make a wedding cake, citing Freedom of Religion as their main reason.

Finn honestly didn't know how he felt about the matter; on the one hand he firmly believed in a separation of Church and State, on the other hand he'd rather eat his own shit then give his hard earned money to a homophobe.

"Okay STOP." Kenya whisper yelled placing her hand authoritatively on Finn's bouncing leg. "Stop. For the love of God. Your anxiety is giving me anxiety."

"I can't help it!" Finn rolled his eyes at the dark haired girl.

"And he hasn't said anything to you since that night? Not even a call or a text?!" Kenya asked seriously, prompting Finn to close his eyes and exhale frustratedly.

Forty-eight hours. It had been forty-eight long and excruciating hours since Finn talked Wyatt down from his proverbial ledge and Finn still hadn't heard from him. Wyatt didn't tell him where he was going or what he was doing; and quite frankly Finn was so relieved Wyatt was alive he didn't even bother asking. He was concerned for Wyatt, but he knew some things were still not his business.

Everything he said that night was true; he loved Wyatt, so much so that he was willing to live his life in the shadows if that meant he'd have to live in the shadows then so be it. Love is something that Finn never thought he'd experience, and certainly not something he expected to drastically change him in terms of personality. Finn Callaghan grew up being headstrong and was taught to always think for himself and be exactly who he was. But now that he was with Wyatt, he found himself more than willing to change himself for someone who made him feel happy; and that terrified him to his core.

"I haven't talked to him." Finn's voice faltered ever so slightly as he glanced up into Kenya's warm brown eyes.

"Finn..." Kenya said softly, her eyes filled with an inscrutable look of pity all mixed up with understanding and a tinge of empathy. She knew Finn since they were in school; she knew him before Grayson and after Grayson. She knew that Finn was many things, but he wasn't one to take bullshit from anyone. "You really love him, don't you." Kenya whispered watching as Finn's lips quivered ever so slightly; the only answer she needed. "Then trust him, you can trust him. Have a little faith."

"It's... So hard, Kenya." Finn whispered practically inaudibly. "So hard to love someone when I know I might get hurt again..."

"Don't let yourself get hurt again." Kenya said wisely. "But remember not everyone is out to hurt you. Not everyone is like Grayson." Kenya's voice lowered as she said the name. She knew that though Finn convinced himself and those around him that he didn't give a shit about Grayson, the way he hurt him left him changed forever. He was jaded, vindictive, and incredibly cynical.

Finn just nodded; no snappy comeback nor his usual sassy eye roll. Finn was different and though Kenya knew it was for the best, she couldn't help but worry. From what Finn had told her and from the way he was acting she knew that he and Wyatt loved each other; but nonetheless it wasn't a healthy situation for him nor Wyatt. Nobody should feel like the ever have to hide who they are in this day and age.
