"HE'S the guy you're interning for?"
"He's young!"
"He's HOT."
"He's a... REPUBLICAN!?"
"Finn you can't work for this guy, he's a Republican!" Finn's best friend and roommate, Sarah glanced between the laptop screen and Finn; who rolled his eyes before frustratedly groaning into a nearby throw pillow.
Finn Callaghan was your average 22 year old gay boy. He was a freshly graduated out of college with a Bachelors in Political Science from Georgetown University in Washington, DC and aspired to one day become a successful lawyer and hopefully go into politics. When he wasn't studying for the LSAT, filling out Law school applications and writing Law school personal statement essays, he loved to spend time watching Netflix, bitching about anything and everything, and getting his back blown out by random men he didn't care about and knew for damn certain didn't care about him.
He was sexy, charming, alluring, and truly magnetic; the perfect recipe for a politician or a psychopath, take your pick. With his pin straight black-brown hair that was always perfectly styled atop his head, alluring bright Irish green eyes, and alabaster fair skin with the slightest hint of freckling across his cheeks and there bridge of his nose; Finn Callaghan was quite the specimen. He was handsome, and often due to his striking good looks, his charms, and his family's political connections; Finn Callaghan often got everything he always wanted. The world was quite literally Finn Darragh Callaghan's oyster.
"Seriously though, Finn." Drawled their other roommate Kaitlyn, comfortingly rubbing Finn's back with a look of pure pity in her bright green eyes as the three roommates all crowded onto Sarah's bed. "It's basically a human rights violation."
"It's not a human rights violation, Kait. It's just an internship." Finn muttered as he raised his head off the throw pillow and pulled the laptop back towards him as all three of the roommates laid sprawled out on his bed.
"Finn you're the most liberal person I know." Sarah states matter-of-factly. "This guy literally stands against everything you believe in!"
"I know! I know! Believe me, I'm as shocked I'm doing this as you are..." Finn drawled as he stared down at the screen with disgust plastered across his face; staring at the handsome young politician's campaign website with it's oh-so original red-white-and-blue color scheme.
"Then why are you doing it?!" Sarah countered in utter disbelief as Finn propped himself up on his side. "With your resumé, I'm sure you could get an internship with any Democrat on Capitol Hill."
"I told you about my Grandpa Cormac, the retired Democratic Senator from Georgia." Finn asked mundanely as the two girls nodded confusedly. "So Grandpa Cormac was best friends with Wyatt's Pawpaw, that's Southern for Grandpa." He whispered with an eye-roll as he gestured towards the attractive young man on the screen. "Wyatt's Grandpa is former Senator Sam Montgomery; a retired long time Republican US Senator from Georgia. Wyatt's Grandpa Sam and my Grandpa Cormac may not have agreed on much policy-wise, or anything really; but they were the best of friends. So Grandpa Cormac called Wyatt's grandpa and pulled a few strings... And here I am."
Finn glanced down at the picture of the perfect, handsome, smiling Representative Wyatt Montgomery of the great state of Georgia. The youngest Congressman to be elected to Congress in decades at only twenty five years of age, Wyatt Montgomery was sworn into the US House of Representatives only months ago and was already seen as a rising star for the future of the Republican Party; and he wasn't too harsh on the eyes either. But to young Finn, he was Wyatt, plain 'ol Wyatt. He was the grandson of a seasoned Georgia politician, the son of a successful lawyer, and the heir to one of the most prolific political families in the state; another prolific political dynasty being the Callaghans, Finn's own family.
