"Do you plan to stay here forever? Don't you have a building and a business to see to?"
"Uncle James."
"Don't Uncle James me. Why are you moping around here?"
"My apartment feels lonely."
"I wonder why that is. Can't you sleep there without Phoenix?"
"It feels weird."
"What feels weird is a grown woman sleeping at her uncle's house because she misses her boyfriend. That doesn't explain why you're not going to work though."

"She hiding," Kei said. I wanted to slap him on the back of his head. "From?"
"Wouldn't you like to know."
"I would. That's why I asked."
"She's hiding from a guy who has his sights set on her." He looked at me with his you're being ridiculous face.

"When have you ever hid from anyone? Is he dangerous?"
"I don't think so, but Kait might feel otherwise." Uncle James sighed. "I'm calling your father. This is your chance to prove yourself and you're hiding out like a child. I thought you were mature enough to run a business. Maybe I was wrong. What I'm seeing now is a girl who can't even function without her boyfriend. Do you think he's in China pining over your absence?"

"Korea. He's in Korea."

"That man is all about business right now. You better get your head in the game. I'm disappointed Kaitlyn-Rose."

Uncle James couldn't have possibly made me feel worse than I already felt. I came to London with a purpose and I was throwing it all away because I missed my boyfriend. He was right. I couldn't hide in his house forever. So I decided to go to work. Avoiding Niko because I was scared would only make him feel better about himself. I didn't want that. I would not give him the upper hand.

It was a good thing my assistant was capable, or else things would have been a mess. I took a deep breath before entering the lobby of the building. I was early so I didn't expect anyone to be there. Madeline would be arriving soon.

Because my mind was occupied thoughts of work I didn't notice someone was in front of me until I bumped into a hard chest. I was about to apologize when the owner of that chest spoke. "Are you daydreaming so early in the day that you didn't even notice I was standing here?" I scowled and took a step back. "Are you stalking me?"
"Why would I stalk you? I work in the building, or did you forget?"
"I'm pretty sure your work doesn't involve you standing in the middle of the lobby."
"I'm surprised you came to work today. I haven't seen you in over a week. One would think you're avoiding something in this building."
"Don't be ridiculous. I'm a business woman. I had other things to take care of."

He chuckled. "I'll pretend to believe you. Have you had breakfast yet? I was just going out for coffee."
"I don't eat breakfast and I don't drink coffee." That wasn't entirely true. "Is that so? That's interesting. I'll lock that away in my little Kaitlyn corner of information."

"Yeah, you go ahead and do that. You know, I'm really convinced now more than ever that you're stalking me. You just came to work and you're going out again. Tell the truth. You saw my car pull up and came up with this ridiculous excuse about going to get breakfast just so you could cross my path, right?"
"Your imagination is running wild, sweetheart. I've been here since five. I like to start my day early."
"Well good for you. Enjoy your breakfast." I walked away. "I need to talk to you about something."
"I'm not interested in what you have to say." I was waiting for his response, but it never came because of the pesky interruption that came in the form of a much hated doctor.

"Niko."
"Victoria, what are you doing here?" I pressed the button for the elevator trying to ignore them. "Let's go up to your office," the wench said. They came to stand near me at the elevator. "What's she doing here?" He really needed to put a muzzle on this bitch. I waited for the elevator to come down and ignored both her and him. "We'll talk about that later, Victoria."
"Let's talk now. Why is she here?" He definitely needs to put a muzzle on her.
