You smile back at the poor boy with the same energy as he did you, "No problem, those girls don't know what they're talking about anyway."
Flushing slightly he grabs the sleeve of your uniform lightly and starts walking you down the hall, towards your original destination. Taking in your surroundings you find yourself in an area of the school you've never been in before. It seems to be less modern, the walls made entirely out of brick, almost like a castle. There's lots of foliage as decorations through the halls, lining the windows that seem almost yellow with age.
"Where are we?" You ask the boy out of pure curiosity.
"The old side of the school, most classes are in the new side." His voice still barely above a whisper though you can tell he's becoming more comfortable with you.
Deciding not to force too much conversation on him you just nod and continue to look around the almost ancient looking side of the school. Noticing him stopping, you halt your steps and turn your gaze towards his. You see him avert his eyes from yours and motion to the door in front of the both of you. He opens it slowly revealing the most peaceful looking little garden.
"This is so beautiful," You gasp in surprise. Taking in scenery you notice a wooden swing attached to a tree, just adjacent from a small pond.
"I come here for lunch most of the time," Beau says before sitting down by the pond, pulling out a small bag containing what you assume it his lunch. "You can sit there if you want," Beau points at the swing you saw earlier, busying himself with his sandwich.
You sit on the old swing, your hands tracing the rope tying it to the tree, and notice the thin vines snaking up both sides. Pulling out your own lunch you quietly munch on it while listening to the soft chirps of the birds in the trees. You watch the shy boy put some bird seed in his hand and hold it out to a small dove. It hops onto the tips of his fingers, pecking at the seeds waiting for him. Staring in awe you accidentally scare the bird away.
"Sorry," You apologize immediately feeling bad for the bird who just missed out on the most delectable lunch in his life.
"It's okay, he was being greedy with the seed anyway. Wanna feed the fish with me?"
"Can I?"
"Sure."
You stand up from your place on the swing and take some of the food from Beau. Mirroring his actions you toss some of the food into the small pond, watching as the koi fish eat mouthfuls of food. The both of you stare into to pond for a while, letting a calming silence fill the area.
"Lunch is going to end soon," Beau trails off breaking the silence.
"Oh so we should probably get back to our side of the school right?"
He nods in response, gathering his things and leading you to the door back to the school. Passing through the hallways once again, you see it gradually shift into the modern school you were used to. The bell rings as you reach your locker and wave goodbye to your new friend. After putting away your lunch bag you make your way to art knowing Nova is going to have a lot of questions for you.
"Where were you? I had to sit with those guys all by myself." Nova complains the second she sees you.
"I was with Beau, and stop complaining we both know you're into at least two of them."
She laughs at your comment before responding, "Wait Beau? Isn't that the cute one with pink hair."
"Yeah, he's really shy. It's kind of endearing but I don't know."
"Ooooh is (Y/N) into the shy ones?"
"No I'm not. He's just an acquaintance at this point."
She looks at you with a smug face before focusing on the drawing assignment your teacher gave you. You work on your assignment lost in your thoughts, bracing yourself for your next class. Reluctantly standing up once the bell rings you bid farewell to your good friend and make your way to gym. You walk into the gymnasium after changing in the locker room, to be greeted by two very energetic boys and one incredibly furious boy.
