6 - The Shy One

Waking up that morning was probably one of the most miserable experiences of your life, after getting barely any sleep that night. Rolling out of bed after managing to throw your alarm clock across the room to seize the incessant noise emanating from it. Trudging to the bathroom, you grab your uniform and change after brushing your teeth, opting to skip breakfast as your appetite wasn't very large this morning.

"Good morning Luna." you greet your cat groggily, earning a small meow in response. After feeding the small animal you realize that if you don't leave the house in about 2 seconds you're going to be late to school. Grabbing your bag and throwing on your shoes you swing open the door, only to be greeted by a pair of blue eyes standing right in front of your door.

"Hello?" You say, incredibly confused at the presence of your friend.

"Good morning (Y/N)! Me and Levi figured that it would be nice if we walked you to school so we decided to wait for you. I was just about to knock because you were taking a while and I was afraid that you were still sleeping and then you would've been late, well we all would've been late but-"

"Elias she gets the point, stop rambling." You notice the presence of Levi as well, who had been standing at the bottom of the steps on the sidewalk.

"Sorry..."

You roll your eyes and laugh lightly happy to have some company with you even if they were a little bit strange and you can't stand rich people. 'Maybe these guys aren't so bad... I mean they keep me company so I'm not alone, and most of the time they don't flex all their money on me.' You lose yourself in thought as the three of you walk to school with one another.

"(Y/N) who's your homeroom teacher?" Levi asks you as you and the two boys pass through the school gate.

"I have Mr. Smith I think."

Levi only nods in response. After reaching your locker you wave and smile at the two boys as they make their way down the hallways towards their own lockers. Grabbing what you need for your next couple classes, you make your way to homeroom and sit down in your respective seat. Noticing an almost bouncing Ethan, you turn to him and smile saying a simple good morning.

"Hi (Y/N)! Good morning! I've been waiting for you with Beau, Nova hasn't showed up yet though." Ethan exclaims practically shouting everything he says.

At the mention of his name you notice Beau lift his face up sheepishly and give you a small wave in greeting. You do the same in response to him and suddenly get an idea. Ripping out a page of your notebook you write a tiny message on it and hand it to him. You watch as he eyes the note cautiously with a strange expression on his face.

Beau reads the little message you wrote just for him with the brightest blush on his face, though it's covered by the sleeve of his jacket. "Hey :) If you feel more comfortable talking like this then it's cool with me. Regardless of whether you respond or not I hope you have a good day :)" Suppressing the little squeal trying to emerge from his throat he stares a little too long at how your handwriting curves and flows across the page, almost forgetting to write a reply but remembering when he notices Nova walking through the door. The poor boy scribbles a small "okay :)" before passing it back to the (h/c) girl, just as Nova takes her seat.

You smile at the boy and saying a quick, "Talk to you in history," as the bell rings releasing you to your first class of the day.

"Aw man, I can't believe how late I was today," Nova complains trailing behind you and Ethan as you exit the classroom.

"Yeah you were pretty late," You respond laughing at her.

"Yeah what were you doing? Getting it on with some guy?" Ethan asks teasingly but almost in a malicious way.
