3 - New Friends

After a while the boy gave up trying to talk to you but not after giving you a lengthy speech on who he was and why you should be paying attention to him. Apparently his name was Maxon and he was "very powerful" and you would "be sorry" that you were ignoring him.

'What a moron,' You thought trying not to go brain dead listening to the foreign language at 7 in the morning.

"Hey (Y/N), wanna eat lunch with me?" Nova whispered to you.

"I mean I would but I was gonna eat with the guidance lady," you respond softly laughing at your antisocial ways.

"Oh you mean Mrs. Nelson?"

"I think I didn't really catch her name."

"That's my mom!" Nova replies excitedly.

"Really?" You ask in awe at how coincidental that is. Hearing grumbles coming from your right side you spin over and glare at the boy sitting next to you. "Did you want something?" You whisper to him in a sickly sweet tone.

"Well in my opinion you shouldn't be wasting your time on a girl like her." He huffs in a matter of a fact way.

You stare at him in shock and throw your hand over your mouth. You whip your head around to see Nova's reaction to the insult he just threw at her. You can tell she's offended but she doesn't say anything, obviously assuming his parents are in a high position. You immediately decide he's a piece of shit, and vow to yourself you'll never speak to him again. Complaining to yourself for the rest of the class you almost miss the bell ringing.

Almost immediately the bluenette was standing in front of you eager to show you to your next class. "What do you have next?"

"I have honors english," you say, proud to be in the advanced classes.

"Aw man, so you're smart. I have geometry, but I'll take you to your class first." He responds clearly upset.

"I have geometry too, good luck (Y/N)." Nova chimes in giving you a sad smile.

You shrug at them not having a problem with being away from their high energy for a period or two. You follow the two out of the classroom noticing the blonde boy from before listening to your conversation. Scoffing to yourself about how nosy he is you increase your pace and walk beside Ethan. You can see him staring at you from the corner of your eye but you choose to ignore him not wanting to say anything mean considering the mood that prick Maxon had put you in.

"Um, did you maybe wanna eat lunch with me and my friends?" he asks you clearly nervous.

"I would but I'm already sitting with Nova during lunch." You respond trying to be nice.

"She could sit with us too!" He says trying desperately for you to agree.

"Isn't this my class?" You ask trying to avoid his question and wanting the conversation to be over already.

"Oh um yeah it is, I'll pick you up after class," He responds awkwardly, rubbing the back of his neck.

"Good luck (Y/N) see you later!" Nova chimes and waves to you as you walk into the classroom leaving your two friends in the hallway.

Walking in and sighing you introduce yourself to the class and sit in the seat your teacher directed you to. He made you sit between the student council president and some other student council member. Both of which were guys, making you increasingly annoyed with your situation. You were starting to really hate the men in this school. The teacher told them to help you like you needed any. The only thing they had going for them is that they were slightly attractive. You went about the class ignoring the two boys stares.
