Chapter 1: New Place, New Strangers

Scarlett's POV

I'm on a plane from Denver to Seoul. I have about 10 more hours before I land in South Korea. How I got in this position? Well, it started out like...

~~FLASHBACK~~

It's my 3rd month working for a photography company named 'Top Star'. It's one of the best in the area and they do a lot of photo shoots internationally. I'm sitting at the desk when my boss calls my name.

"Scarlett, can I see you in my office for a moment?" She says to me. I get up from my seat and walk over to her office. She closes the door behind me and starts walking towards her desk to sit.

"You wanted to talk to me?" I ask my boss. "Yes, I did. You've been doing an excellent job since you've started here." She says to me. "Thank you ma'am. i do my best." I reply to her compliment. "And that is why I'm moving you to our newly opened branch in Seoul. I'm sorry to say that I don't have a home for you set up over there. You're going to have to find that yourself. I will provide you with enough money to last you long enough for you to stay on your feet. You're job will start as son as I call the manager over there to tell when I think you're ready to say getting back to work." She tells me and I'm shocked from the sudden information. "I'll gladly take the offer. Thank you so much! I won't disappoint you!" I say to her and she smiles. "Good, now here's the information of your passport and airplane ticket." She says to me and we start talking about me working for this company in a different country.

~~End of FLASHBACK~~

And that's how I ended up on this plane. It's actually pretty boring so I guess I should just fall asleep.

~~Skip to the end of the plane ride~~

Wooh! I really needed that nap! I walk to baggage claim to get my luggage. From that point, I flag down a taxi and I ask them to take me to downtown Seoul.

~~Skip the car ride~~

I give the driver some money before getting out of the cab. As soon as I get out, I start looking at my surroundings. I can see a really talk building with the letters 'SM' written in it. Not too far away from there, I see a coffee shop.

"Hmm...I could really go for some coffee right now." I think to myself before walking towards the shop.

"Annyeonghaseyo, what would you like to get?" The person says to me in English. I guess he can tell that I'm a foreigner. "Can I get a medium iced coffee?" I ask and he nods his head. A couple of minutes later, he comes back with my drink. "Thank you." I say to him while handing him some money for the drink. I turn around and immediately bump into somebody. My coffee spills all over me and my clothes are soaked now.

"Mianhae, miss. I can help you get that cleaned if you need to." A guy says to me in Korean. I had a tutor teach me Korean before flying out to South Korea. I came prepared!! "Are you sure? I don't want to be a burden." I say to the guy. "Oh, don't worry. I'm sorry for being rude. My name is Chanyeol." He says to me and puts his hand out. I look up at him and he has a hat on and a really big smile. I shake his hand. "My name is Scarlett." I say to him. "Yeppeuda! Well, I might as well take you to the dorm so that your shirt can get washed." He says to me and grabs my hand. "Gaja!" He says excitedly as we exit the shop with my luggage.

~~Skip to the dorm~~

Surprisingly, the dorm that he lives in wasn't too far away from the coffee shop. I wonder why...

"Please excuse the other members. They can get a bit crazy. I should talk though, I can get crazy too when I'm having a good time." He says to me and I'm confused. Why is he referring to his roommates as members? "How many 'members' are there?" I asked concerned. "There's 12 of us in total." He replies before opening the door. -gulp- This is going to be interesting.

"I hope they're really nice people." I think as Chanyeol and I walk through the door.

*Hey guys! Sorry if it took a while for me to post a chapter for this story. I've been working really hard on typing more chapters for this story on my laptop so that I can transfer them here. Thinking of things to happen in this story is very difficult.
I mean, I've written plenty of stories before but EXO is a really big group and they do a lot of things.
I really hope that you're looking forward to this story and have enjoyed the first chapter. I'll be sure to update as soon as I can.
