Chapter 28

JENNIE'S POV

Putting on the apron while tying the rope around my waist , my eyes stealing a glance at the clock and to my relieve , it's still early before lisa will go to work.

I rolled up my sleeve above my elbow with my hair being tied into a messy bun , not wanting for it to get into my way as i turned around to face the boiling pot , but only to have my palm covering my mouth when a light yawn escaped from me

This morning , i just woke up from the most horrible sleep that i've ever had

I was too clouded in my thoughts that left me sleepless for the whole night , and waking up with the silence from lisa where she would usually been bugging me in the early morning just making an icy discomfort to blossomed in my chest

I never meant to hurt her , but out of anger that i have no power of preventing it from happening , it's unintentionally will always end up like this

Since the first moment that i met lisa , she was well known with her attractive smile and a very bubbly personality.wherever she goes , her smile will be enough to attract the students to drool over her.

But ever since we met , i always be the cause of that smile to disappeared

It used to be out of my concerned to seeing her walking around with a mournful expression on her face everytime she need to face my uncivil behavior towards her ,which she's often hiding it well behind the smile that she wear on her lips.but day by day , it starting to make my heart ached to seeing her hurting

I used to be the person that will never be good with words , even a word of an apology , it would feel too foreign for my mouth to utter

But everything surely have an exception

"It's all now done"

Clasping both of my hand with a smile plastered on my lips , my eyes gazing at the meals that looks so tempting to be eaten being served on the table , which i knew lisa will never get to resist

I took off my apron while undid my hair , letting it flow along my shoulders while slightly tossing it to the side with my hand.stealing another glance at the time , i smile and immediately walking up the stairs while heading to lisa's room

It took a brief of hesitation for my hand to open up the door.with a pursed lips and a deep breath escaped from me , i slowly twisted the doorknob.my head take a little peek inside and immediately found lisa who's facing a mirror while buttoned up her white shirt

"Going for work?" I asked in small voice , both hands clasping behind my back while wearing a smile on my lips. Her eyes slightly steal a glance at me before its turned back to the front , while nodding her head with a hummed

"Yeah"

The moment of an uncomfortable silence between us making me to slightly shift on my stance.i do aware of my mistake over what happened last night , and i knew the moment that she left me standing alone in the living room , with tears shimmering in her eyes , i was suppose to push my pride to the side and make it up to her last night , but unfortunately i didn't

My mouth was about to open as my gaze lift back up to lisa , but only to have my lips pressed together and being replaced with a smile when i saw lisa's furrowed eyebrow , with her lips murmuring to her sleeve that was being crumpled when she was trying to rolling it up

"Come here" i said while chuckling as my hand grabbing lisa's arm to face me

"It's okay , i can do it"

"I've been doing this for half a year , so don't tell me you can do this by yourself just now" i lightly scoffed while pulling back her hand to me , neatly folding it up for her
