Year One
one. Diagon Alley

Mansion full of silk, lace, and chandeliers. Puffy Victorian dresses that hanged in the women's wardrobe, dress robes polished and ironed that hanged in the men's drawers.

The home where Magnolia Malvorseve grew up in, and called home. For some it was too elegant, or too luxurious. Magnolia didn't mind the luxurious life, she'd rather enjoy it.

The eleven year old girl had golden locks that reached to a little below her shoulder, she had honey golden eyes, and a small figure.

"Maggie!" Her mother called from downstairs, Magnolia quickly pulled on her overalls, and ran down the elegant staircase that lead to the foyer. She was met by her mother, Persephone, and her two brothers, Franklin and Claudius.

"We are going to Diagon Alley." Persephone tells
her children who nod, the four of the go to the fireplace which was connected to the floo-network.

"Diagon Alley!" Her first brother, Franklin, shouted as he disappeared into thin air. Franklin was going to be a fifth year Slytherin. Franklin had brown curly locks, and he had green eyes like his father.
Next was her brother Claudius, he was going into third year, and had blackish hair, with brown eyes. He was also a Slytherin, but the smartest out of the Malvorseve family. Magnolia watched as he also disappeared to Diagon Alley.

"Go on Maggie." Her mother impatiently told her daughter as she looked at her watch. Magnolia nodded before taking the powder, and stepping inside of the fire place.

"Diagon Alley!" Magnolia yelled as she traveled into the void of darkness before she landed in the center of the crowded Diagon Alley. There was students of all ages that were shopping. She had no idea where to turn, but she toppled over by someone.

"Oh my Merlin! I'm so sorry!" Magnolia heard a girls voice cry, it sounded very pubescent, at least it wasn't an older student. Both of the girls got up, and stared at each other. Magnolia noticed the girl had blonde hair, and blue eyes. She had unnoticeable freckles around her nose.

"It's okay," Magnolia accepted the girls apology, she could tell she seemed really scared and embarrassed. She watched as the girl clutched onto a wand and a couple of books.
"I'm Magnolia Malvorseve, but you can call me Maggie." Magnolia introduces herself to the girl who eyes widen when she heard her name.

"Malvorseve? Like the famous legacy?!" She excitedly asked, and Magnolia nods with proud in her family. She then watches as the girl's face drops.

"Oh! Where are my manners... I'm Lucille Vagabonde, you can call me Lucy though." She takes Magnolia's hand and shakes it to a point where Magnolia's hand starts to hurt.

"What year are you in Lucy?" Magnolia asks the girl who becomes verily shy at the question.

"I'm a first year... you probably don't want to be talking to a first year..." She trails off, but before Magnolia can correct her on her year, her mother calls her.

"Oh I'm sorry, I've got to go... I'll see you at Hogwarts?" Magnolia asks Lucille who nods confidently, and clutches on to her books tighter.

"Goodbye Maggie!" Lucille yells as Magnolia makes her way to her mother who stared at Lucille from a distance. Persephone Malvorseve wore a long black dress that made her assert her dominance. Despite Persephone being so tall, Magnolia didn't get her height.

"Come on mummy, I wanna go get my wand first." Magnolia tugs her mother into Ollivanders. Magnolia was amazed by all the wands that were in the shop, it was amazing. She couldn't wait to find the wand that was hers.

"Well hello there," Garrick Ollivander said to Magnolia as she walked into his store, Ollivander's eyes lit up as he saw Persephone Malvorseve follow behind Magnolia.

"Ah, a Malvorseve." He chuckled as he got out of his seat, and grabbed a few wands for Magnolia to try out. Magnolia waited eager and impatient. She was twirling her hair nervously as she was about to find out the wand that was going to be her companion for the rest of her witch-career.

"Try out this one." He handed Magnolia a wand that was a dark wood color, it had a vine-like pattern imprinted. Magnolia took the wand, and waved it towards the shelf of wands, the wands started going berserk, and she quickly set the wand down in front of him.

"Not the one." He gave her a half-smile. He went to grab another wand, and handed it to Magnolia. This wand was a lighter color wand, and had a crystal ball at the end, it had a flower pattern that went down to the tip. She waved the wand towards the flower plant, the flower then blossomed into a beautiful Magnolia.

"That seems like it's the one," Ollivander smiles at Magnolia, she stared down at the wand that was now hers. She thought the wand was beautiful.
"That's a Hawthorn wood, 9 3/4", and Dragon heartstring core."

She nodded and smiled at Ollivander before her mother and her left the store. She then went, and got her needed books. Then she went to get fitted for her robes. Finally her mother promised her she will let her get a pet like she did for all of her children when they started their first year. Franklin got an owl named Oswald, and Claudius wanted to be different so he got a lizard and named her Freya.

Persephone and Magnolia Malvorseve walked into Magical Menagerie, and immediately Magnolia was staring at all of the types of creatures.

"Make it quick Maggie, we are meeting your cousins, and Aunt Adorabella for lunch." Persephone tells her daughter with a dull tone. Magnolia's cousin, Daphne, is going to be in the same year as her. Ever since Magnolia was born Daphne and her have been attached at the hip.

"Mum! I want this!" Magnolia pointed to a creature, it wasn't a creature her mother would think she would pick. It was a hermit crab. Persephone looked at her daughter with worry.

"Are you sure?" Persephone tried to convince her daughter not to get the crab, but Magnolia was sold.

"Yes mummy, I want the crab." Magnolia smiled at her mother, and then back at the slow moving hermit crab. Persephone sighed before she headed over to the worker, and asked for the animal.

"What animal did Maggie get?" Franklin asked his mother, and little sister as they entered their home.
They were expecting the Greengrasses at any moment. Her brothers would've guessed Magnolia got a big animal judging by the huge cage she was carrying.

"Crabs." Persephone told her eldest son before leaving the room. Franklin raised his eyebrow, and walked over to the terrarium that Magnolia just placed on the table.

"What did you get Mags?" Claudius asked as he leaned on his younger sisters shoulder. Magnolia was staring into the glass before she pointed to the shell.

"A shell?" He asked Magnolia, and gave her the 'are you crazy' look. Magnolia looked up, and shook her head no. She was about to say what it was before Franklin answered before her.

"She got crabs." Franklin replied as he bent down to see the shells that were hidden. Claudius's eyes widen as he stood up and faced Franklin.

"Crabs?! Like the S-."

"No!" Franklin yelled back at Claudius as he bonked him in the head with his palm. Just then Persephone lead Adorabella and her two daughters into the dinning room where the three Malvorseve kids were staring at the crabs.

"Maggie!"

"Daphne!" The girls joined each other for a hug, and then Magnolia lead Daphne to the terrarium where her crabs were. Little nine year old Astoria Greengrass was clinging onto her mother's leg, as her mother had a conversation with Persephone.

"Are you excited for Hogwarts?" Daphne asked Magnolia as they took the terrarium upstairs to Magnolia's room. Magnolia had thought this was going to be the first time she was away from her mother, but she will have Daphne, Franklin, and Claudius.

"Ready as I'll ever be." She smiled at the blonde who nodded at her cousins response.
