Year Three
fourty one. HogsmeadeHalloween was finally here which made it the first Hogsmeade trip of the year. Magnolia and Lucille had already turned in their permission slips to their head of houses at the beginning of the year.
Both of the girls were outside in the courtyard waiting to be taken down to Hogsmeade by the teachers. Usually, they didn't need teachers, but with Sirius Black on the loose they have them for their safety.
They were covered head to toe I winter apparel. Two sets of trousers, and three jumpers on. Anyone could tell you about the magnificent Hogwarts, and how beautiful and great it is. They'll always leave out the excoriating coldness that comes during the winter months.
Magnolia and Lucille's eyes traveled to Harry Potter who was begging Professor McGonagall to sign his permission slip. Lucille gave Magnolia a half-smiles before she spoke up.
"I feel bad for him." Magnolia watched as she could see Lucille's breath on how cold it was outside. Magnolia shivered as she nodded. Both of the girls felt warmed up as they were embraced by two boys.
Lucille, of course, was embraced by Blaise, but Magnolia was hugged by Theodore Nott. She blushed a deep red that only Blaise and Lucille could see. McGonagall and a few other teachers started leading the way to Hogsmeade as the Ophidians lingered in the back.
Magnolia searched the crowd for the specific ginger. She didn't exactly know why she was doing this, she just was. She stopped looking as Lucille nudged her. She looked over to her best friend with a glare, and Lucille gave her a sympathising look.
"Have you talked to Fred?" She whispered into her ear, Magnolia shook her head. She was now realising she hadn't spoken to Fred in almost two months. She sighed as she trudged her feet in the cold.
They had finally made it to Hogsmeade, and Lucille and Magnolia were comparing how many Sickles, Knuts, and Galleons they had. Draco had disappeared somewhere with Vincent, Gregory, and Pansy.
Lucille had felt a ping of jealously when she heard Pansy was with Draco. Then she remembered, she had Blaise, and Draco isn't her boyfriend.
Daphne had also joined along Lucille, Magnolia, Blaise, and Theodore. Magnolia was glad so she could have time to talk to her cousin that was once her closest friend.
"Where do you all fancy going first?" Daphne asked the pair of five. They looked around at the stores surrounding them. They saw Zonko's the joke shop, Three Broomsticks the pub that has the most amazing Butterbeers, Honey Dukes the most famous sweets shop in the Wizarding World, and a few more small shops.
"How about Honey Dukes?" Blaise suggests, and they nod as they start to head towards the packed sweets shop. The girls standard in shock as they entered the most magnificent place in their existence. Their were all kinds of sweets from sour, to nougats, and to the really really sweets that were made from pure sugar.
Lucille, Daphne, and Magnolia rushed over to the lollies, and candy floss. While Blaise and Theodore were heading to where the chocolates and nougats were located.
"Are you going to ask Maggie out today?" Blaise asked Theodore as they were inspecting the Chocolate Frogs. Theodore looked back at the girl who was laughing with Daphne and Lucille.
"I hope so," he shrugged then looked at his best friend. "What if she rejects me though?"
"She won't, you're Theodore Alvin Nott! The second most handsome man in Hogwarts!" Blaise told him, and Theodore raised an eyebrow.
"Who's the first most handsome?""Me, of course." Blaise laughed as he picked up two boxes of Chocolate Frogs. He then picked up a Chocolate rose, and handed it to Theodore.
"Give this to her." He winked before he started to make his way over to the Liquorice candies."Try this flavour!" Daphne shoved a piece of candy floss into Magnolia's mouth making Lucille laughed as Magnolia choked on the grass flavoured candy floss.
"Ew! That's a disgusting flavour! What is it?" Magnolia questioned Daphne who was hysterically laughing at her cousins face seconds earlier.
"It's grass flavoured." She laughed as she read the label. Magnolia looked at Lucille as she pointed at her tongue with one finger.
"Anyways I've got to go," Daphne said looking at the time. "I've got a date." She smiled widely.
"With who?!" Lucille asked excitedly wanting to know who Daphne was going out with.
"Ernie MacMillan." She semi squealed, and Lucille jaw dropped. Daphne didn't really know why they were that surprised since she thought they both had known, but she guessed not.
"From Hufflepuff?" Magnolia questioned, and she nodded. Lucille put a hand on Magnolia's shoulder. "No need to worry Mags, Ernie is a nice and respectful fellow."
"Go have fun Daph!" Magnolia hugs her blonde haired cousin before she skipped out of Honey Dukes. Just as she had left the candy stores Theodore and Blaise came over with a handful of sweets in their hands. Lucille and Magnolia look at the boys as if they were crazy.
"What?" Theodore questioned. The two girls giggled quietly as they took their pick of candies before heading to checkout.
After they had left the store with their sweets they decided to head to Zonko's joke shop. Once they had walked into the warm, homey atmosphere of Zonko's. Theodore and Blaise took off, leaving Lucille and Magnolia at the front of the shop.
The two girls walked over to some faux potions. As they were looking through, and laughing at the names, Lucille just happened to turn her head.
"Don't look now, but Fred Weasley is staring right at you." Lucille whispered, and in Magnolia Malvorseve nature she locked eyes with the boy. She flushed red before turning to look back at the gag potions.
"Magnolia-!" He called out to her which made the girls turn again. Magnolia was staring at him with confusing, and Lucille was glaring. Magnolia them turned to Lucille before mumbling, "I'll be right back."
"Look, can we talk?" Fred questions her, Magnolia sighs as she looks behind him to see George and Lee Jordan smiling sympathetically.
"Fine," she muttered."Maggie I-." He started, but she felt like she needed to cut him off before he went and said something stupid.
"Look, Fred, we are friends. We can be friends again, we can talk to each other again. Nothing happened be between, and nothing will." She told him, and his smile dropped. He then nodded before turning to face his brother and best friend."Agreed." He muttered quietly. Magnolia smiled through the pain. She really liked Fred, but she knew that he was just a boy she would get over soon enough. She also had Theodore now.
"Hey Mags!" Theodore swung an arm over Magnolia as he came over to her. What Magnolia didn't know as the whole time was that Theodore was glaring at Fred as he talked to Magnolia. Fred stared down at the brown haired boy as he put his hands all over Magnolia.
"Hey Theo..." She trailed off realising how awkward Theodore made it by coming over. She was about to say goodbye to Fred before Theodore spoke up.
"What are you up to now and days Weasley? Snogging more girls?" Theodore chuckled which made Fred grow angry. He had only snogged Angelina that one time because of what George had told him.
"Watch your mouth, Nott." Fred growled at him. Lee and George noticed and came behind Fred while Blaise and Lucille came behind Magnolia.
"I mean I do, you on the other hand may need to get checked for herpes." Theodore shot back, and Fred rolled his eyes. Magnolia looked to Lucille who looked uncertain of what was going to happen next.
"Oh yeah? Maybe I'll spread it to your girlfriend." Fred retorted as he look to Magnolia. He smiled at Magnolia who cheeks were turning bright red.
"She'd like it anyways."Author's note-
