Year Three
thirty. The Damn Ministry

Magnolia woke up with the sun beaming in her face. She rubbed her eyelids as they fluttered opened showing her she was in her room. She looked over to her owl perch to see Oswald had returned with a parchment in his beak.

"Oswald?" Magnolia jumped out of her bed, and threw her robe over her. She shivered as her feet touched the frigid resigned floor. She grabbed the parchment out of Oswald's beak, and unraveled it.

"Oh my Merlin, this isn't good." She mumbled as she read the part how she was grounded from seeing them, because Melody told her parents about Draco.

"What's not good?" Magnolia turned quickly around to be faced with her mother. Persephone had her robe draped over her, and her hair in one braid.

"Oh, just a letter from Lucille." She said to her mother. Their was no reason to cover up the letter except for her mother finding out about her power.

"Oh, is everything alright with her?" Her mother questioned as she walked into her daughter's room. Magnolia thought their was no harm in telling her about how Lucille's got in trouble.

"Yeah, basically her mother doesn't want her hanging out with Draco Malfoy and our group." Persephone nodded as she sat herself on her daughter's bed. Magnolia folded the letter, and sat it on her desk as she headed over towards her mother.

"Figures, Lucius Malfoy was convicted, but he was under the imperius curse. Of course the Vagabonde family was one of the biggest protester to put anyone involved imperius or not in Azkaban." Persephone tells Magnolia who nods. She knew how strict Elizabeth Vagabonde was since she was an Auror.

"Elizabeth just one of those people who believe all Slytherin's are death eaters, I wouldn't let her get in the way of you and Lucille's friendship." Persephone advises her daughter. She leans in and plants a kiss on Magnolia's forehead before she heads out of her daughter's room. Magnolia was confused on why she had married a Slytherin then, but her mother may have been using it just as an expression.

Magnolia went back over to her desk, and read the rest of the letter Lucille had sent back. Magnolia figured she shouldn't send a letter back, she laughed at the part where Lucille wanted to know the gossip around the school.

"Maggie! Frankie! Claudius! Breakfast is ready!" Persephone called for her three children. Magnolia noted that breakfast was done, and threw on her clothes and headed down the marble staircase down to the grand foyer. She made her way passed the parlor, and into the dinning hall.

"Morning Maggie." Claudius said with a mouthful of food. She waved at him as she sat between Franklin and Claudius. She looked at Franklin, and accidentally read his mind to find out 'mum's gonna be pissed when she finds out I dropped my potions N.E.W.T'

Magnolia widen her eyes at what she had just heard, but didn't make it obvious. Professor Snape was very hard on his N.E.W.T children's, so Magnolia doesn't blame Franklin for dropping it. Both Persephone and Xayne were excellent potion makers, as well as Magnolia and Claudius. Franklin didn't get the skill for potion making, instead he liked to focus on Quidditch.

Their house elf, Effie, stood on her tippy toes to deliver Magnolia's plate in front of her. She smiled widely at Magnolia.

"Thanks Effie." Magnolia told the elf who nodded, and headed back into the kitchen. Claudius watched the elf until it left.

"Why did you thank it?" Magnolia heard, Magnolia swung her head towards him, and furrowed her eyebrows. He raised his eyebrow at her.

"It's not an it, she's a she you dickhead." Magnolia jeered at her brother. Franklin's jaw dropped at his sister cussing, and Claudius got very pale.
