Year Four
fifty two. Lucille's Arrival"Lucy!" Elizabeth Vagabonde shouted to her second youngest. Lucille was rushing to pack since she would be heading over to Magnolia's for the Quidditch World Cup.
"Yes mum?!" Lucille shouted back to her mother as she quickly continued to pack all of her nice jumpers and trousers. She grabbed her wand also, and stuffed it into her trunk just for safety. Lucille's hair was now shoulder length, and she had gotten new glasses recently.
"We need hurry! We were supposed to be at the Malvorseve's five minutes ago!" Her thick British accent rang throughout the whole cottage they lived in. As soon as Lucille was about to head out, Melody stopped at her door. Lucille looked at her sister who seemed like a totally different person. She had dyed her hair back to blonde, and it was no longer a bob. Her freckles were now noticeable since she didn't wear all that heavy makeup anymore.
"What?!" Melody snapped at Lucille as she stared at her in amazement. She hasn't seen her sister like this since Melody was eleven.
"Nothing, you just look different." Lucille brings up her hand as she refers to Melody's appearance."Yeah well, I just turned seventeen. Want a bit of a change." Melody told Lucille. Lucille nodded quickly as she moved past her older sister and down the stairs with her trunk, and belongings.
"Finally you're ready, let's go." Elizabeth says as she grabbed a handful of floo powder. She handed some to Lucille, and let Lucille go in first. Lucille steps into the brick fire place and shouts "Malvorseve Mansion!"
"Mum! Lucy's here!" Lucille hears a shout of her friend when she reaches the elegant manor of the Malvorseves. When Lucille opens her eyes she is met with her best friend, Magnolia, and Persephone Malvorseve.
Magnolia looked different. She had gotten fringe bangs, and had a head band in her hair. Her dirty blonde hair was also now past her shoulders. She was wearing a skirt with a floral patterned shirt. Her make up consisted of pinks, and Lucille could tell Magnolia had started experimenting with her style.
"Come onnn~." Magnolia pulled her best friend up the stone stairs. Lucille bid goodbye to her mother, and entered Magnolia's room. It was still the same as she saw it last time. The transparent purple curtains still were hanged by her bedside and window seals.
"So, when are we going to go? I know some people leave a week earlier before the match!" Lucille asked Magnolia excitedly. Magnolia helped her friend with her trunk as she spoke, "well since the Minister invited us, we don't leave until tomorrow, but to not cause disturbance to the muggles the days people come is spread within a week."
Lucille nods as she went to sit on Magnolia's huge bed. Magnolia joined her, and they started to talk about boys, school, the World Cup, etc.
Magnolia jumped up when she heard a knock on her door. She furrowed her eyebrows, and looked at Lucille who just shrugged. Magnolia got up, and walked to her door. She opened it, and In front of her was her older brother, Franklin.
"Frankie? What do you want?" Magnolia questioned her brother. He looked passed her to see Lucille who was sitting on his sister's bed. He waved, and then looked back down to his sister.
"I didn't know Lucy was coming today, but I was wondering if you wanted to go and get some ice cream and some doughnuts." Franklin asked, and Magnolia smiled she looked back to Lucille who nodded.
"Of course!"Franklin, Magnolia, and Lucille walked in the sweltering heat of England. They finally reached the town of Knowles. They walked towards the local ice cream and doughnut shop. They were greeted with air conditioning as they walked into the small dessert place.
"Hello," a girl welcomed the three of them. Magnolia had only been to this place once, and that's when it opened almost five years ago. "What can I get for you lot today?"
"I'll have vanilla." Franklin spoke to the girl working. She immediately picked up a cone, and started scooping. After she was done, she handed it to Franklin, and looked over to Magnolia.
"Mint Chocolate Chip, please." Magnolia asked the girl working behind the counter. She nodded, and started to scoop Magnolia's ice cream into a cup. She looked over at Lucille who was still staring at the flavours.
"Oh, Chocolate please."
The lady handed the three of them their cones. They were walking out of the store when the lady called that they forgot their spoons. Franklin went to grab the spoons, and followed Lucille and Magnolia out. They sat down at the table outside, and Magnolia noticed Franklin was looking at one of the spoons in detail.
"Is there something special about that spoon?" Magnolia question Franklin. He looked up, and faced the side he was looking at towards the two teenagers.
"There is a bunch of weird numbers on the spoon." Franklin showed, and Magnolia raised her eyebrow. Lucille burst into laughter seeing what was on the spoon.
"She gave you her phone number." Lucille smiled at Franklin who was still very confused. "She wants to ring you."
Franklin just shrugged since he wasn't going to ring her anyway, even if he did have a telephone. He used the phone to start eating his ice cream as it was a warm day and would melt.
After the three of them finishes their ice cream they walked back to Malvorseve Mansion. The heat started to cool down for a bit which was a blessing since it was the middle of the July.
"Did you three go get ice cream without me?" Claudius asked the three of them when they walked back into the mansion. Lucille noticed that Claudius had grown his hair out. It was now to his shoulders, and curly.
"Oh, hey Lucy." He looked over to the blonde girl who was examining him. Lucille snapped out of her trance of admiring Magnolia's brother, and waved to him.
"Anyways, mum says for you two to start packing. We leave early tomorrow." Claudius tells Franklin and Magnolia who nod. Franklin breaks off from then to go to his room. Magnolia and Lucille head up to Magnolia's room where Magnolia pulled out a trunk.
"Help me pack?" Magnolia asked Lucillle who laughed since she guessed Magnolia didn't pack yet. The girls spent around an hour and a half packing for a five day trip.
Persephone Malvorseve cooked dinner with the help of the house elves, which Lucille would say was delicious. Lucille did notice that Xayne Malvorseve was in distress. She wanted to ask Magnolia to see if she knew since she was a Legilimen, but Magnolia could control now, and Xayne new Occlumency.
"Alright, well you four get some sleep tonight, we leave early tonight." Persephone told her children, plus Lucille. Lucille and Magnolia got into her bed, and laid there for a bit before the two of them were sound asleep.
