Year Three
fifty one. Till Fourth YearIt spread around quickly that Sirius Black had escaped, and that he was hiding near the school for the past months. It had alleviated fear, and it was unknown to where he had gone, but the ministry said if Black was smart he would've gone somewhere far away.
"You ready?" Lucille stood next to Magnolia who looked over to her best mate who was out of breath from carrying heavy trunks. It was a clear day out, and the high was eighty. They had a graduation ceremony earlier for the seventh year who were graduating. Magnolia attended because Franklin was graduating and at the end of August he will start working with Puddlemere United.
The two girls boarded the train and sat alone. It was a lot quieter than when they sat with Draco, Pansy, and them. Magnolia was deep into a book she recently got for her birthday, and Lucille was doing little magic spells with her wand.
"Do you think Sirius Black was guilty?" Magnolia said out of nowhere which made Lucille confused. Lucille put down her wand, and started to think. She never gave the Sirius Black case much thought.
"Well, he never got a fair case, but I've never really looked into enough to tell ya'." Lucille crosses her arms as she leaned back up against the stiff blue train seat.
"You're the Legilimen, why don't you find out for yourself.""I can't just go find Sirius Black, and tell him to hang on a second as I read his mind." Magnolia laughs at what Lucille suggested, and Lucille just shrugged. Magnolia turned back to her book, but couldn't seem to get back into it since her mind was pestered with one question.
Was Sirius Black guilty?
"Well the Quidditch World Cup is this summer, are you going?" Lucille snapped Magnolia out of her question trance, and it made Magnolia think when her mother mentioned in one of her letters that they were invited by the minister personally, and that she could invite Lucille.
"Oh yeah, we were invited personally by the minister... would you like to go with us?" Magnolia asked, and Lucille's eyes lit up.
"Of course, I would have to ask my mum, but yes!"Lucille was ecstatic. She was so happy when they announced the Quidditch World Cup will be held in England this year. She had begged her parents for tickets, but all they said is 'we'll see'.
Magnolia looked out the window to see the beautiful sun shining through the train. She closed her eyes, and when she re opened them it was dusk. She didn't plan on sleeping, but her tiredness got the best of her.
"We are almost there." She heard a voice squeak. She turned her head to see Lucille who was still across from her. She was now changed into more comfortable attire, and her hair was in a low pony tail. She was reading a book, and she looked up at Magnolia and smiled.
"Were you here the whole time?" Magnolia questioned, and Lucille shook her head.
"I went to watch the wizards chess tournament the Gryffindors are having for awhile. Then I talked to Blaise, Theo, and Daphne, and then I was back here." Lucille explained, and Magnolia nodded. It was good that Lucille was back to talking to Blaise, Theodore, and Daphne."Where was Draco and Pansy?" Magnolia asked Lucille, and her face dropped as she shrugged.
"Probably snogging somewhere."Magnolia gave Lucille a sympathetic smile, and she was about to open her mouth when she heard someone call out, "We're here!"
Magnolia and Lucille looked out the window as they rolled into Kings Cross Station. Magnolia and Lucille started to gather their things together as they started to get up. The corridor soon got crowded with children of all years trying to get off the train.
"I should probably go find Josh." Lucille looks over to Magnolia who nods.
"I'll keep in touch about the World Cup." Magnolia says, Lucille smiles."Till fourth year?" Magnolia asks Lucille, who giggles softly. She nodded, and replied back, "Till fourth year."
Magnolia got off the train, and met up with her family who were in tears as her eldest brother had just finished his seventh and final year.
"Oh my baby! Where did time go?!" Persephone wiped her tears as she let go of Franklin who was now a bright pink."Congratulations son, I know in the last years your mother and I haven't agreed on decision you made, but I feel as if this path is right for you." Xayne patted Franklin's back. Claudius and Magnolia just stood there as they watched their parents praise their older brother for doing the bare minimum, but it was their first child to graduate.
"Can we go home now?" Claudius questioned, "I wanna sleep." Persephone laughed as she pulled her other son who just finished his fifth year into a hug.
"Of course you can Claud, but I better see some good O.W.L. scores this July." She told him, and Claudius laughed it off since he knew he couldn't do any worse than Franklin who got like three O.W.L.S.
The Malvorseves' made it home not after too long, and celebrated Franklin's accomplishment with pies, cuisine, and other lavish foods. Meanwhile, Lucille was very ecstatic to see her older brother, Will. Melody had just finished her sixth year, and apparently she got a boyfriend so she was in a better spirit than usual.
'Everything was going to be just fine from here on out.' thought Lucille as she ate happily with her family. Yet she didn't know what was left to come.
Authors Note-
I finally wrapped up third year lol. I know this chapter is like less than 1,000 words but I really was out of motivation for year three and basically just wanted to get it over with so enjoy this small chapter for the ending of year three and I can't wait to see wait to start writing year four!
