Year Three
thirty nine. Legilimency Lessons"Y-yes sir?" Magnolia stumbled over her words as she moved closer to Professor Lupin. She couldn't tell if he looked mad, scared, or confused.
"Where did you learn to do that?" She immediately knew what he was talking about. She didn't learn it anywhere though, it came to her.
"I-I didn't learn it anywhere." She told him, and he nodded. He picked up some type of orb which was on a table he was sitting on.
"Do your parents know?" He asked, and Magnolia shook her head. Magnolia was scared to tell her parents about her power.
"Does anyone know?" He questioned, and Magnolia nodded.
"L-Lucy, and my-my brothers, and Fred Weasley." She told him, and he nodded as he wrote it down on a piece of parchment.
"We've got to see Dumebledore, come on." Professor Lupin told Magnolia. She sighed, and nodded as she followed the Defense Against the Dark Args Professor out of the classroom. Magnolia trudged slowly behind him, feeling embarrassed as students saw her.
They had finally reached Dumbledore's office, and Professor Lupin let the both of us in. Magnolia stumbled into his classroom shyly right behind Professor Lupin.
"Ah! Remus! Oh- and Magnolia?" He said once he saw Magnolia emerge from Lupin. She fiddled with her hands as she looked down.
"Why did you bring her today Remus?" Dumbledore questioned Professor Lupin. Magnolia still looked down at her flats not wanting to explain why she was there. She had never gotten in much trouble except that one time in first year. She didn't even mean to do it.
"Magnolia, here, read my mine in class today," He started, and Dumbledore looked at the thirteen year old girl, astounded. "Found out i'm a werewolf."
"She-she can read minds?" Dumbledore asked, and Professor Lupin nodded. Dumbledore looked back at Magnolia who had a more red face than a tomato.
"You're only a third year... no way she could practice Legilimency in school-." Dumbledore rambled, but Magnolia cut him off.
"I didn't learn it anywhere Professor, it came to me." She confessed, and Dumbledore raised his eyebrow at her, and then turned to Remus who looked just as surprised at he did.
"Who knows about it?" Dumbledore questioned just like Remus Lupin did back in his classroom. Magnolia too a deep breath in before she started naming.
"Lucille Vagabonde, Claudius and Franklin Malvorseve, and Fred Weasley." Dumbledore looked weirdly at her wondering why Fred Weasley knew, but he brushed it off since they had a bigger matter on their hands.
"Magnolia you can't tell anyone about Professor Lupin's secret." Dumbledore told her, and she nodded fast. Dumbledore looked up to Remus who looked down at the small third year.
"Now, we need to find a way to teach her to control it..." Dumbledore pondered, and Remus spoke up.
"I could teach her... I'm not a skilled Legilimen, but I am a Dark Arts Teacher after all." He offered, and Dumbledore nodded before headed up the stairs to his desk. Remus and Magnolia just stood their looking up until he got down.
"Thanks for the offer Remus, but I've got someone in mind." Remus nods, and Dumbledore looks back at Magnolia who was wondering who was going to 'teach' her.
"You can go now Magnolia, you'll receive a letter of where and when your first class would be." Dumbledore told her, Magnolia nodded, and waved to the two Professor as she lets herself out of Dumbledore's office.
