Year Three
fourty eight. Lucille's Birthday

The feverish January days faded into February. Lucille was turning fourteen on the third. She and Magnolia planned to spend the day together, so Magnolia had to get everything perfected. She wanted to get her a cake, but she didn't know where the kitchens were, but she knew who she could ask.

Fred and George Weasley.

She hasn't talked to Fred a lot, but she figured this would be a start. She kept staring over at them during breakfast. They were in a conversation with Angelina Johnson and Oliver Wood. She was surprised they didn't catch her staring, but someone did.

"Who are you staring at?" Magnolia swung her head over towards the side of her to see her cousin. Daphne had recently cut her long platinum hair to shoulder length which Magnolia thought suited her better.

"Fred and George," She replied and Daphne was about to open her mouth to say something, but Magnolia said something before she could. "no, not for that reason though. I'm going to ask them how to get into the kitchens so I can get Lucy a birthday cake."

Daphne nodded, and also looked over towards the Gryffindor table. She then turned back to face Magnolia.

"That Oliver Wood is cute." She answers which causes Magnolia's jaw to drop. Magnolia would never suspect Daphne to find a Gryffindor attractive.

"You know he's a seventh year, right?" Magnolia questioned her cousin who just giggled. "What about Ernie?"

She shrugged, and looked over to the Hufflepuff table where Ernie was clearly flirting with Susan Bones. The two of them watched as Ernie was two shades deeper than he usually was, and Susan twirling her red hair.

"He had an interest in someone else," Daphne answered, and Magnolia looked back at her cousin with sympathy who didn't seem to be affected much at all.
"he let me down in a nice way though, brought me Honey Duke sweets, and other stuff. I would've just stopped talking to him."

Magnolia nods, she does know how sympathetic Hufflepuffs can be since her best friend is one, and she also knows how cold-hearted Slytherins can be since she's one herself. The stereotypes aren't always true though, most of the time they aren't true at all, except when it comes to Draco.

"When's Lucy's birthday celebration again?" Daphne asks Magnolia which snaps her out of her trance. She looks up at Daphne who was standing up and looking as if she was about to go.

"Tomorrow afternoon," Magnolia answers Daphne who nods. She waved at Magnolia before she left Magnolia alone at the Slytherin table. Theodore was a few seats down from Daphne. Draco and Blaise were still asleep, along with Pansy, and Magnolia didn't know where Lucille was. Lucille pretty much kept herself away from the group since she and Blaise's break up, only to talk to Magnolia.

Magnolia also doesn't know who exactly is showing up. She invited Daphne, and Cedric since she sure they would come. She also invited Draco, Blaise, and Pansy but she's not sure if they would come. She looked at Theodore who was a few seats down from her, and she wondered if she should invite him.

"Ey' Theodore." Magnolia called the brown boy who looked towards her. "Tomorrow I'm throwing Lucy a birthday celebration in the Great Hall, do you want to come?"

Magnolia watched as he thought, and then a smile crept onto his face. He looked up at her, and she could see his rosy cheeks, and bright blue eyes.
"Sure, what time?"

"Around three." Magnolia answered, surprised that he even said yes. He nodded before he turned back to his food, and started eating again. Magnolia turns back to face the Gryffindor table to see the twins getting up. She gets up, and starts to trail behind them slowly.
