Alex finally decided it was time he held it in sense middle school he had to tell them the truth but his nerves were shot he couldn't feel anything he was numb lucky he had Luke by his side to be there for support and Alex was grateful for that he was grateful for Luke.

"Are you sure that you ready to do this ?"

Alex hesitated was he ready to admit it to his parents?

But looked back at Luke
He felt it in his heart that he was ready to come out to them.

There they stood at Alex's front down Alex was shaking way too much to knock on the door

Luke knocked for him

sense he could feel his friends anxiety

When the door opened there they stood Mr. and Mrs. Mercer just smiling ear to ear to see their son

But frowned seeing that he was holding Luke's hand  Mr. Mercer didn't like that very much

" Alex, are you okay hun ?"

Alex took a deep breath he felt as if. He was dying but he wasn't he just started to panic upon seeing his father

" he is fine honey am sure he is just being dramatic," Mr. Mercer said rolling his eyes

" Leonard Michael Mercer can't you see he is panicking !!"

Alex tried to breathe but couldn't he felt as if the air was literally gone his gasps felt as if they out of reach

Luke coached like he always did
" in 5 seconds out for 3 and repeat come, buddy, " Luke said softly so only Alex could hear

Alex followed what Luke did
His breathing evened out, he was still shaking but he could talk now

" mom... I ..am ..gay " he said

He finally said it

He finally said The words that have haunted him

all of his 16 years of life

And he knew what would happen

" oh ...um" Mrs. Mercer couldn't say anything what could she say

But Mr. Mercer had no problem saying what he thought

Both Alex and Luke jumped by his outburst

Mrs. Mercer was in tears by her husbands' words but she was too afraid to say anything to Alex out of fear she might Anger her husband

" come along now Kathy  we don't  associate with failures  especially with our failure of a son, a faggot anymore " he hissed out as he turned to his wife

She only had tears streaming from her eyes

She mouths to her beloved son

Alex jumped awake tears streaming down his face
his breathing abnormal and uneven
he is shaking and sobbing so loud he couldn't hear anything around him
his nerves were completely shot he felt numb

He couldn't remember the last he had a panic attack this bad

He remembered his father's words repeating in his head over and over like it was never going to end.

He didn't know it but there was another person in the room with him

It was Julie who had fallen asleep in the studio that night after working on a new song with Luke

She knew all the signs of a panic attack

She got up off the couch and sat with him as she pulled his hands off of his head

"Alex buddy breathe please "

But Alex couldn't hear her at all all he could hear was static and a ringing in his ears

" Alex ?!" She shouted slightly

He jumped slightly at the sound

She relax a little bit when he noticed her finally

"Thank god " she whispered to herself

Alex just looked at her confused

His breathing still uneven

"in 5 seconds out for 3 and repeat," she said softly

He repeated her actions as his breathing evened out

Julie released a breathe that she didn't know she was holding in

Alex gave a sad like chuckle to her

"Thanks, Jules " he hugged her tightly letting a few tears out

She gave a soft smile as she hugged him Back

" don't scare me like that again "

Alex laughed at that

"I promise "

The two sat there holding each other as finally fall back to sleep

Alex Knowing that he is truly loved.
