"Can you pass me your potions book? I need to check something." You said quietly, not wanting to disturb Professor Snape or any of the students. Hermione nodded, passing you the book carefully while stirring the potion in her cauldron.

She took her wand and cast whatever she needed to cast for the potion to be done, smiling when it turned out excellent. "Wow! You got it!" You whispered excitedly, giving her arm a soft squeeze.

She smiled proudly at you, letting you turn back to your own potion. You poured the rest of the things in, stirring it shortly before taking your wand out.

You whispered the spell, some steam blowing off your cauldron as it turned to the potion you had to make. "Yes." You whispered, pouting the potion into the small vial.

Professor Snape appeared behind you and Hermione, looking at what all the students, including you, had done.

"Bring it here so we can test your assigned potions." He said slowly before heading off.

You got up with your vial, closing it with the cap. "Miss Y/L." He said, making you go first. You stared for a bit before moving in front of all the students.

"I've made Calming Draught. It calms anyone who is suffering from trauma, shock, etc." You explained.

"Good. We don't have anyone to test it on, but, I am sure you've made a wonderful job." Snape said, his low voice causing shivers up your spine due to how cold and scary it sounded.

You moved back beside the students, looking down at the transparent white looking potion. "It might be useful someday." You whispered.

"Wow, Snape really has something weird going on," Hermione said as you sat, having dinner in the Great Hall, with Harry and Ron.

"Why?" You asked, furrowing your eyebrows after taking a bite from your fries. "I mean. It is so obvious he now has a preference for you and Malfoy." She said quietly, not wanting others to hear.

You looked at her confused, widening your eyes, and scoffing softly. "Are you jealous that he calls me a magnificent student? Or what?" You asked, unable to believe her.

"No, don't get me wrong. That is not what I mean." She said with a sigh, shaking her head. Harry simply stared at the two of you, along with Ron, not wanting to say anything.

"Then?" You asked. "I just simply think it should be better if you don't get us into any trouble. Who knows what you are doing with Malfoy." She replied.

"Hermione, are you for real right now?" You asked in disbelief, feeling your chest tightening. "Do you really believe I have some dark plan along with Malfoy after all we've been through?" You asked, noticing that other students were staring at you and Hermione, curious about the conversation between you two.

"Yes, I really do believe that. Ginny told me about the necklace and what you saw. About what she and the twins heard along with you when Professor Snape and Malfoy were speaking." Hermione spat back. You bit your lip and let out a chuckle, your breaths becoming uneven due to the sadness growing in you.

"I stood up for you, Hermione. When Draco called you a mudblood. I was there when Buckbeak died and I was there when Draco made fun of you and Ron. And now you repay me this way?" You asked in disbelief.

"Guys, please. You're fighting over stupid stuff." Harry finally said, glancing at the two of you. "It doesn't seem stupid to Hermione since she has taken it to heart." You said, slamming your fork on the table before getting up.

"Y/n, wait," Hermione said when you started to walk away. "You already said enough!" You exclaimed back, only turning your head back so she could hear you better.

You bumped into Draco when you looked back in front of you, staring into his eyes with your teared-up ones, not even realizing you had tears in them. "Y/n..." He said quietly, staring widely into your eyes.

You simply pushed past him, bumping your shoulder into his since you simply wanted to leave the room where everyone's prying eyes were on your back.

You sat on a rock near a lake by the school. You were throwing tiny rocks into the water as tears streamed down your cheeks, the previous events repeating in your mind.

You slammed a rock on the spot beside you, sighing heavily. A branch broke behind you, making you jump and quickly look back in surprise.

You sighed, "Harry." You said softly, glancing to see Hermione and Ron behind him.

"I figured you'll be here," Harry said back, glancing at Hermione and nudging her softly. Hermione looked at him with an angry look before you turned back towards the lake, hearing her begin to talk.

"I wanted to apologize, for any of this happening. I was mad at something else and I took it out at you, saying senseless and stupid stuff that only hurt you. I didn't mean any of it and I want to apologize. Everything that you did for me is something I will never forget."

"Did you practice this on the way here with Harry and Ron? They told you to say this, didn't they?" You asked back, still with your back to them.

You heard footsteps closing towards you, seeing Hermione move in front of you. "No, I truly mean this." She said, smiling at you sadly. "I am really, really sorry, Y/n." She whispered.

"Scabbers!!" Ron exclaimed out of nowhere, making you and Hermione jump. You looked at him when he ran off to follow the rat, beginning to get dark outside.

"Ron, wait!!" You screamed, Hermione and Harry, taking after him with you following behind. You began nearing a bit tree, Ron finally catching the rat. "Why did you bite you, Scabbers?!" Ron exclaimed.

You, Harry, and Hermione sighed in relief when he finally grabbed the rat. Ron turned to you and widened his eyes before screaming out in horror. A wolf jumped over you, making you crouch down and scream out.

"Ahh!! Harry!!" He exclaimed, the wolf biting his leg and pulling him to the ground before dragging him to the tree. "Ron!" You exclaimed, taking your wand out but it was too late.

The wolf had already dragged Ron into the whole underneath the tree.
