You walked down the hall with your books in hand, heading to your next class. Your hair and robe blew back due to the slightly bad weather outside the castle, the wind blowing through the open windows.

"Y/n!" You heard someone exclaim, making you stop and turn. "Oh, Lania." You said, smiling. She smiled back as she hurried to you, sighing softly while panting.

"Sorry, do you remember what other exams we had this week? I completely forgot." She chuckled.

She was a Hufflepuff one of the best in her house. "We have potions and charms left. Then we... go home." You said, unable to help the sad feeling growing inside you.

She pouted as well, nodding her head. "I can't wait to see you next year again." She said, trying to cheer you both up.

You nodded and watched her go to her groups of friends, turning around with a sigh only to bump into someone.

You gasped softly in surprise, slapping the person on his chest. "You idiot, you scared me." You said angrily, watching him smirk and chuckle.

"You're such a scaredy-cat," He said, rolling his eyes. You rolled your eyes and began walking towards the classroom.

"Okay, so, we have this Transfiguration class. What do you say to lunch together after the exam?" He asked.

You looked at him after stopping and turning to him, making him stop walking too. "You want to have lunch with me? What happened to 'keep our distance'?" You asked, grinning softly.

He rolled his eyes, sighing softly. "If we are going to be together on the bad side, might as well gain each other's trust. Right?" He replied.

"Yeah, you want to gain my trust. Sure." You said, sarcasm clear in your voice. You giggled softly, nodding your head. "Fine. Let's have lunch together." You said.

You then turned around and continued down the hall to the classroom, turning to see Draco smiling at you. "Come on, what are you waiting for?" You called out.

He began running after you, making you squeal and begin running before he would catch you, entering the classroom.

After finishing your exam, you headed to the Great Hall, wanting to tell Harry, Hermione, and Ron that you were going to eat with Draco.

But you stopped dead on your tracks when you saw a glowing green light floating in the air in the middle of the hallway.

You looked around and saw it was just you there, making you confused. The light began floating away and you wondered if to follow it.

After hesitating, you began following before it would disappear. It was guiding you to an unknown part of the castle, leading you to the dungeons.

"Good~ Follow me~..."

You went faster, running down the stairs as it moved faster. You stopped in front of a door once you reached the bottom of the stairs and took a few steps forward along the short hallway.

The light floated right through the door, your heart tightening in your chest in fear. You shakily placed your hand on the door, pushing it open slowly.

It creaked loudly, revealing a slightly dark room with a figure hiding in the shadows. You were pushed inside and the door slammed closed.

"No!!" You exclaimed, trying to open the door but it was locked. You leaned against it, beginning to hear whispers near you.

"Look at her~ Poor baby is scared~"

You shakily rummaged into your robe for your wand, dropping it to the ground and quickly picking it up.

"No need to be scared~ We know what you are~"

You heard the whispers say. You felt tears cloud your eyes as you held your wand in front of you, your hand shaking furiously.

"W-Who are you?!" You exclaimed, screaming in fear when something grabbed your feet and dragged you to the middle of the room.

You sobbed and whimpered, stumbling to your feet. "Lumos!" You shouted, the wand lighting up at the tip. You looked around, the room was old and dusty.

"Shhh~ We don't want to harm you..."

"Please... Leave me alone." You whimpered, the whispers beginning to seem unintelligible. You felt weaker as time passed by, sobs leaving your lips as you fell to the ground.

You laid, weak and emotionless. "Please..." You whispered. You heard footsteps head towards you, someone kneeling beside you.

"What a shame... Being his daughter and yet you are so weak and fearful."

"W-What are you talking about?..." You asked weakly as the person rolled your sleeve up.

"Your mother saw nothing in him. But still, she fell in love and had you. But he never even cared to meet you."

You looked to the side, watching as the tip of a wand moved to your skin. You screamed in pain as an unbearable burning sensation formed on your skin.

You were sure your screams were echoing all over the school. The tip of the wand trailed along your arm, your legs kicking as you tried to wiggle away.

"Stop! Please, stop!" You screamed. The door suddenly burst open, the light from the hallway shining upon you.

The figure looked towards the door, soon disappearing into thin air. You cried heavily as the pain kept burning on your arm.

"Y/n!!" You heard someone exclaim.

You hugged your arm, hearing quick footsteps to your side. You looked up and saw Professor Snape there, taking your arm in his hands.

'Aut viam inveniam aut faciam.'

That phrase was entrapped on your skin, a few drops of blood trailing down. "Episkey..." He whispered, trailing the tip of his wand along the words.

But it didn't work, the scratches stayed open, causing him to sigh. He stared at you deeply, his hand moving to the back of your head.

"I'm so sorry, my child." He whispered.

He pulled you into his chest as you cried, his arms holding you tightly. You gripped his robe as you sat there on the ground, in his arms.

"I am so sorry, Y/n. I failed to protect you." He whispered, his hand caressing your hair.
