The new student joins hogwarts in the 3rd year. She is the same age as Harry, Ron, Hermione and Draco. But for some reason, Draco has a special liking to her.

You ran to the stairs after you saw your mother go down, quietly following behind. "Severus." You heard her say softly after she made it downstairs, making you freeze in your spot.
"Amelia, it's nice to see you. Let's go to my office." Severus said. You waited for the footsteps to fade away before going down the remaining stairs. You hid behind a column after widening your eyes, seeing Draco walking towards you with Crabbe and Goyle.
"Sometimes I think she doesn't know what she wants. One moment she likes me, the other she hates me. Those friends of her, Potter, Weasley, and Granger are playing with her mind." Draco said as he passed by, definitely talking about you.
"Wait until my father knows about this, he will surely make me win her in some way so she pushes away those idiots. Especially Potter." You glared at his back before he turned towards the stairs you had just gone down from, heading upstairs with his two friends.
"Damn you, Malfoy." You whispered.
You headed towards the room where your mother and Severus were in, noticing it was the potions class. You quietly opened the door, cursing in your mind when it creaked loudly.
You managed to make your way in and hide behind one of the tables. "What was that?" You heard Amelia, your mother, ask. Snape quickly made his way to the door, his eyes looking down at you when he saw you hiding there.
"Probably a current of air opened the door." He said slowly, staring down at you before closing the door. "Wait there, Amelia. I have to pick up something a student dropped in the previous class." He said.
You moved backward underneath the table when Severus crouched down, picking up your wand that had fallen out of your robe. "Stay here, and don't. Make. A sound." He whispered to you before getting up with a jar full of gillyweed.
"There you go. Where were we?" He said, continuing their conversation. "Severus, we can't hide this from her anymore. She is too young. She needs to know." Amelia said.
"I am trying to keep her safe, Amelia. You know I won't let her get hurt." Severus replied. Amelia went closer to Severus, her hands moving to his cheeks. "She is a child. She already knows what that necklace holds. She knows what she is destined to do because of our wrong decision." She whispered.
"Amelia... She will be alright." Severus said, taking Amelia's hands in his. "I won't let our-" He was cut off by a noise outside the classroom, making him sigh. "You should go. If someone catches you, they'll blame me. You have to go home." He said.
He quickly made his way towards the door, his hand holding Amelia's. Once at the door, he hesitated, staring at your mother before kissing her forehead. "I'll keep her safe, no matter what." He whispered.
You stared in shock, the door opening and Amelia leaving in a hurry. Snape stood still for a bit, glancing at the table you were underneath. "Come out, Y/n." He said in a softer tone you had never heard him utter.
He also didn't call you by your surname, but, your name. You crawled out from underneath the table, standing up and dusting your robe. "I'm sorry-" "You will act as if you didn't see or hear anything. Your mother should not know you... were in here." He cut you off.
"Now, go back to your classes and don't get into more trouble." He said, holding the door open for you. You headed out and stood there for a bit, looking at him straight in the eyes.
You could see some warmth in them, directed towards you. You couldn't help a warmth enveloping your heart before you walked away, heading in a hurry towards the shrieking shack.

You followed an old path that led to Hagrid's hut, noticing Buckbeak was gone and Hagrid, Dumbledore, Lucius, and someone else were there, confused as to where the animal had disappeared to.
You followed another trail inside the forest, finding Buckbeak's footprints and beginning to follow them instead. "Y/n, there you are," Hermione said after she saw you heading towards them, smiling at you.
"Did you see what your mother was doing here?" Harry asked, handing you Buckbeak's leash. You carefully bowed, the animal bowing back before you pet him, giggling softly.
"She went to speak to Professor Snape. But they were both acting very weirdly, as if..." You trailed off. "As if what?" Hermione asked, wanting to know. "As if they were together. As in, a couple." You said.
Hermione widened her eyes, looking at Harry. "What if they are?" She asked. "I don't know. Out of everyone, why would my mother choose Professor Snape?" You asked confused.
"What if they are siblings or cousins or something?" Harry asked.
"If they are, my mother has never mentioned him to me." You replied. Hermione sighed, shaking her head. "We can learn about this later, we need to keep going." She said.
Harry nodded his head, looking at you. "We'll be back soon. Stay here." He said, staring at you for a while before running off along Hermione.
You turned to Buckbeak, caressing his head softly. "Well, we'll have to stay here for a bit." You said.
After a few minutes, you could begin hearing the commotion in the shrieking shack, hearing Sirius' voice echoing in the distance.
You decided to let go of Buckbeak's leash, moving to one of the trees to try and see the commotion once your future you and everyone else were outside.
You watched the whole scene develop, seeing someone shoot an Expelliarmus spell towards you, throwing you flying away from Professor Lupin's way when he tried to attack you. You winced as you felt a burning sensation on the back of your head and your arm begin to hurt.
After you looked back to where everyone was, you smiled when you saw Hermione running after Harry. You snorted, shaking your head.
