"Miss Y/n, silent treatment won't work with me," Dumbledore said after a while of silence

"Miss Y/n, silent treatment won't work with me," Dumbledore said after a while of silence.

You had retreated to his office, that way people wouldn't bother you with their whispers and stares.

You had your arms crossed over your chest, staring at everything but Dumbledore. He sighed, shaking his head.

"The recent things that have happened had shown that it puts you in danger. That necklace you have, it has a connection to You-Know-Who." He said.

"I find it unfair that I have to head home way earlier than everyone else! Sirius Black is gone, dementors are as well, and Voldemort is dead!" You exclaimed.

"As much as we claim he is dead, we never know if he is lurking in the shadows anywhere," Dumbledore replied.

"It is for your safety." He said. "Headmaster, please. I just want to reach the end of this year. I still have 2 months-" He cut you off.

"Your mother is making me do this, Y/n. She doesn't believe you are safe here." You got up and stared at the ground, trying to find the right words.

"Do you think that if I was truly in danger, I would be safer in my house than here? Learning how to protect myself?" You asked, looking up at Dumbledore.

He shook his head, moving to be by your side. "I don't. But if your mother has chosen this..." He trailed off, placing his hand on your back as he walked to the door with you.

"You'll be fine. Your mother is a great witch. She knows so many things and she'll be able to teach you how to protect yourself." He said.

You just nodded in silence, sighing softly before heading to the door and opening it. "Goodbye, Headmaster." You said quietly.

You then made your way down the stairs, sadness beginning to overwhelm you as you reached the bottom.

It made the feeling worse when you saw everyone standing there. Draco was on the left side, standing by Professor Snape, his face showing complete sadness.

Hermione, Ron, Harry, and the Weasley twins were standing on the right side, watching you with sad smiles. You couldn't help but sob quietly, tears trailing down your cheeks.

Hermione cried as well, sobbing as she quickly ran to you and hugged you tightly. You hugged her back, gripping her robe.

"I don't want you to go..." She whispered, only for you to hear. "I don't want to go either." You whispered back.

"Y/n, dear." You heard your mother say, making you pull away from Hermione. You looked towards your mom, staring at her as she gestured you to head towards her.

But you weren't moving, you were stuck in place. You were scared to move.

You didn't want to go home, you were already home. "Why can't she stay?" Fred asked while making his way to your side.

"She has all of us to protect her," George said. "And we are all strong enough," Fred said. "And we have Harry, Hermione, Ron, and so many more by our side." The twins said together.

Fred took your hand and held it, giving you a feeling of comfort. Your mother looked at your hands before glancing back up at you.

"Yes, it's true. She has so many people to protect her. And I know I might be clumsy but I am still a good friend of hers." Ron said, making his way to your side with Harry.

"I helped her at the train station and she helped me with so many other things. She needs me as much as we need her." Harry said.

Hermione leaned her head on your shoulder as everyone stood beside you, only Professor Snape and Draco standing in front of you.

"I can't believe I'm doing this," Draco said, silently making his way to stand beside Ron and Harry. "I'm only doing this for Y/n." He said, looking at you before glancing at Amelia.

"She has so many of us. Let her stay till the end of the year, please," Draco said. Although his face didn't show any emotion, you had learned how to read his eyes, a bit.

There was still a feeling you couldn't notice or read in his eyes whenever he looked at you in any other situation. But now, his eyes held hope, he hoped you would stay.

"Her bags are already packed and the train will be here soon-" Amelia was cut off by Professor Snape heading towards her. "Amelia." He said softly, pulling her to the side.

You heard them whispering, your mother arguing about you. "Wow, they truly behave like something is going on between them." George said, Fred, following after with an 'Indeed'.

You giggled softly, reaching up to wipe your tears. As much as they were arguing, Professor Snape was being careful and nice to your mother.

That was a side of him not many people saw, especially students. "Amelia, please. She is a child. This..." He gestured around him. "Is her home." He said quietly.

Hogwarts was your home indeed. Amelia sighed, looking at you. She stared deeply into your eyes, trying to read your mind maybe.

"Y/n..." She said, gesturing for you to go to her. You hesitantly pulled away from Hermione and Fred, walking slowly towards her.

"You know... You remind me of myself when I was your age." She whispered, noticing her look at Severus and back at you.

"Do you want it that much?" She asked. "I'll watch her when it's needed. I'll keep an eye on her when she enters classes and when she heads back to the common room." Severus said.

Amelia sighed, staring down at you and placing her hands on your cheeks. "Fine. I'll let you stay until the end of the year." She said.

You widened your eyes and smiled widely, hugging her tightly while thanking her constantly.

The twins and everyone else cheered while Draco stood there with a disgusted look on his face.

You ran happily towards them, enveloping them in a tight hug. "You're staying!" They all exclaimed.
