Valentine

Ethan and I walked across the atrium to get to where the senator and his aide were waiting to take us to the interview for A.B.N tv.

But... Something felt off.

Ethan's face was more stoic than usual. The kind he gets when he's seriously thinking about something...

I checked the time and saw we had a few minutes before we had to be out front, so I discreetly tugged on his sleeve to get his attention.

Once he looked down to me, I nodded down the hall on the left and went in that direction, him following behind slowly and confused.

And soon enough, we were in a supply closet.

"What's wrong?" he asked.

"That's what I'm asking you. I know a TV appearance isn't what we'd both rather be doing right now, but you were fine with it until June came in."

His eyes didn't meet my mine, so I placed my hand softly to his cheek.

"E?"

"V." I raised a brow.

He held my hand that was against his cheek and sighed.

"... Its okay. As long as you're okay, everything is okay..."

I nodded, seeing that a lot was on his mind and didn't want to pester him further. and said "... Alright."

I went to go and open the door to slip out, when he took my hand and pulled me too him before covering my lips with his.

I gasped, and then sighed against hin as I felt myself go weak at the knees from the passion.

His arm went about my waist as my arm draped over his shoulder, all in attempts to hold me up right, as our lips parted to deepen our affection....

And finally...it became slow, and we replaced it by small light kisses on each others lips, before one final long one...

"what was that for?" I giggled.

He stroked my hair and said "I've been in a supply closet with you a few times now, and I'm yet to have done that..."

"Then do it again to make up for lost time..."

He smiled before leaning down as we repeated the process all over again....

After a moment longer in the closet, we had straightened ourselves and left the hospital grounds discreetly.

And now as I help Valerie out the back seat of Travis' car where we had been, her hand still in mine between us I asked "Have you ever done anything like this before?"

She closed the door with her free hand and shook her head. "... No, I haven't. I get so very nervous with public speaking. It's... Not my strong suit."

"You're a social butterfly, how does that work?" I raised a brow.

"Social with people I'm comfortable with, sure." she giggled.

I smiled as we held each others glance, when yet again, a voice pulled us apart.

"Doctors? Are you ready?" Ed called.

Quickly we dropped our hands to our side, and V said "Yes Senator." before we started walking to him.

We lagged behind him and his aude a little as she looked on with a skeptical face, as if she was analysing his form the way she does a medical chart.
