Valerie, Baz and I entered Caroline Bloom's room later in the afternoon to give a sufficient diagnosis.

And as always, Valeries intuition has never failed her.

In cases such as Carolines though, this would be a time where one would wish V was wrong.

That she misjudged.

But of course, she didn't. She never does. And to now relay a seemingly grim diagnosis to a patient, no matter their wealth of class, they always seem to achieve the same grief-stricken appearance. One that would in doubt send a shiver down a doctor's very spine.

Whether it's terminal or life-altering in another manner, to tell someone their lives will never be the same will never be easier. But as I tell V...

Its gets easier to cover your emotion.

"Some good news, Mrs bloom, were discharging you," V said as she looked from her clipboard.

"I'm supposing that means you've figured out what's wrong with me?" She raised s brow.

Baz stepped forward and said "yes...and no. I mean the tests identified a number of bacterial strains that we're able to prescribe treatments for. So on that end, yes. You should feel better soon."

"And I suppose this is the bad news?" Leland signed.

I looked to Mrs bloom before putting on the strong stoicism must-have. The kind that...in hopes reassures patients. No matter nature.

"There's no cure for your condition, Mrs bloom. You will continue to be at risk from it . But with proper maintenance, it should be manageable."

"And what do you recommend?"

"You should take extra precautions to avoid infection, if and when you become ill, see medical attention as soon as possible" Valerie explained.

"...I think I can do that."

"I'd feel a lot better with a full-time doctor at home to look after you, especially with this place shutting its doors.."

"That seems a little excessive dear, I've lived my whole life until now without it being a major problem."

"Nothing is too much to keep you safe..." He placed a hand on her shoulder.
