Last night was everything that I have wanted for so long....
Last night, was so perfectly perfect, that even now as I walk down the halls of Edenbrook and a few colleagues whisper and murmur, I can only smile.
Because Ethan Ramsey loves me....
And for the first time since the accident, I'm starting to feel fully like myself again. Doctor Valentine. V. Valerie....
I feel like me.
And that's something I haven't felt in a while....maybe even before the accident, I don't know.
But all I know now is that I am on my way to see a very special someone.....

I ran my hand through my hair and took off my glasses as i slumped in my seat in the diagnostics office.
Our work....everything we had set up to do...has simply ended in failure.
And I know now what I have to do....
I'm not sure of the consequences. But nothing could be worse than leaving the decision up to fate and possibility.
The door to the office opened, and I was suddenly able to relax a little....upon seeing Valerie.
"Good morning..." she smiled.
"Good morning Doctor Valentine." I smiled back.
She came over and went behind me, resting her chin upon my shoulder and running her hands over my arms....
"is brea liom tu...." she whispered and placed a kiss on my neck.
"translation?" I chuckled softly.
"I love you....te amo...."
"now that i understand..." I closed my eyes and relaxed more as she massaged my arms.
"and for the record...I love you too." I turned and placed a kiss to her cheek.
"tell me...is everything okay?" she moved her arms to go over my shoulders and her hands upon my chest.
"....No. They're not. I'm afraid, we are in a financial crisis and I...have had to make a hard decision. But I'd like to talk to you before I confirm anything."
"Of course E..."
I took her hand and pulled her around to me and sat up straight as I guided her to my lap.
"....last nights event hasn't been able to pull Edenbrook out of the dirt. And we knew that it would be a long shot, but one worth taking. It will help for a while...I just don't know how long for."
