heaving a sigh of relief, you stopped to catch a breath. after running for so long, you gave up and ignored the crow, walking at your own pace. when the town came into view, the crow explained what you had to do and left.

you made your way towards a bridge that connected the forest you came from with the town. you still had a few hours before sunset, so you decided to walk around to get more information.

crossing the wooden planked bridge, you start exploring the crowded roads. you walked past a few stalls, the smell of food making its way to your nose. your stomach growled, telling you that food is very much needed right now, despite how you had already eaten when you were with kyojuro. but that's besides the point, food was your number one priority.

you looked around, spotting a stall that sold ramen. you walked over, peeping inside to see if anyone was there. "hello!" a voice said from behind you, you flinched at the loud sound. turning around, you see a bald man wearing an apron over a white shirt.

"may i help you?" he asked, tilting his head to the side. "ah, yes! uhm, do you sell any chicken ramen?"

"yes i do! how many bowls would you like?" the man smiled, walking into the stall and taking out the needed ingredients. "just one please," you answered.

you watch him cook the ramen from outside, staying silent. "say, are you from this area?" the man asked, chopping up the chicken, "you're dressed very differently from the people here. and i don't know if it's normal from where you're from, but here, you don't see people carrying swords around."

you remembered that not everyone knows about demons and the demon slayers, so walking around with your sword must have made you look very suspicious. it's not like you were gonna kill anyone with the sword like a maniac. unless- yeah no.
