"i'm home!" you yelled, closing the umbrella before entering the house. "[y/n]! i've been waiting for you!" mitsuri exclaimed, running towards you and pulling you into a tight hug.

"mitsuri! what are you doing here?" you smiled, loving her energy. "ah, kyojuro said you might be coming back today so i decided to wait for you!" she grabbed your wrist, dragging you into the kitchen where rengoku was.

"she's here!" mitsuri exclaimed, seating you down next to her. "oh! [y/n]!" senjuro waved at you. "hi hi!" you waved back.

"here, eat up," rengoku passed a bowl of ramen to you with utensils. "thank you for the food!" you immediately started eating. "so how was your mission?" senjuro asked. "oh, it was fine, i made a new friend!" you smiled, suddenly missing kurai's presence.

"oh~ is it a boy?" mitsuri teased after seeing your small smile. "h-huh? well yeah it is but we're just-"

"why didn't you bring him back? i'd love to meet him!"

"ah, he had to take care of his mother, she wasn't feeling well," you lied.

"oh no, i hope she feels better soon," mitsuri sighed. "mhm, me too," you agreed.

when you were done eating, mitsuri went home while you went to take a shower. after washing yourself, you changed and got ready for bed. but you realised rengoku wasn't asleep yet so you went over to his room to see what he was up to.

"kyojuro? what are you doing?" you asked, slipping into his room. "hm? oh! its my turn to go on a mission!" he exclaimed, grabbing his blade, attaching it to his side.

"right now?" you asked, following him out of the room, "where you going?"

"the train. apparently there's a demon on the train and it has been consuming people," he explained, "i'm going there along with three other demon slayers to take out the demon!"

"oh. uhm, can i join?"

"hm, if you want to-"

"alright! let me grab my things real quick!" you ran into your room and took the necessary items, running back out within a minute. "okay!"

rengoku laughed at your behaviour, patting your head, "okay! let's go!"

the two of you went out into the night, making your way to meet the trio who  are going to join.
