you felt everything around you crumbling down as you saw gyomei's weapon smashing into kurai's lower body. this wasn't fair at all. regenerating in a blink of an eye, kurai swung his sword towards the blind pillar, laying a deep cut on his arm.

immediately after that, the demon slammed the back of his blade onto the mist pillar's stomach, pushing him off. sanemi and obanai had ran over ready to cut his head off when his entire body disappeared into thin air. he appeared behind the snake pillar, landing a harsh kick on his back.

not wasting anytime, kurai lunged forward, using one of his forms, he slashed at the wind pillar, the impact knocking him back. it was clear that the sword kurai was using wasn't normal. after all, it seem to have this strange aura around it.

keeping his eye on wind pillar, kurai threw his sword towards the stone hashira while he fought bare handed with sanemi. the sword had managed to graze gyomei's shoulder, leaving a small cut. although it didn't look harmful at first, black smoke started coming out of it. gyomei seemed to be feeling some kind of pain but was trying to ignore it.

switching his weapon to his left arm, he threw it towards kurai who nearly managed to stab his hand through sanemi's chest. but gyomei's weapon had crashed against kurai's hand, reducing it to nothing. kurai being a demon, regenerated in a second.

obanai was too hurt to help out, the wounds you had placed on him and the ones kurai had added on had caused him much pain.

though muichiro looked like he was still able to fight, he ran back in to help out.

kurai was strong, there was no doubt about it. he had managed to hurt shinobu and obanai to the point where they couldn't fight anymore. and now he was holding off against one of the three strongest pillars.

and as much as you hate to admit it. you really didn't think kurai could win in this situation. again, gyomei had way more experience in fighting demons, and not to mention, he was blind. despite not being able to see, the man was still able to become a pillar.

and then there was muichiro. a pillar at the age of fourteen. you didn't know much about him, but you heard from tanjiro that it only took him two months to become a pillar.

lastly, sanemi. he was just pure brutal. he doesn't give a single shit about demons, whether they were good or bad. he had once said that he was going to kill every single one of them. and up to now, he has kept his word.

sanemi was starting to falter, but his anger only drove him forward. it was clear that he was not going to give up until he got rid of kurai.

much to your dismay, mitsuri had a strong hold on you, preventing you from helping kurai. you couldn't fight back, her physical strength was on a whole different level than yours.
