Daryl stared at you as you smiled and laughed along with a poor joke Rick had told the group "Hey, my buddy Shane always told that joke almost every Friday." Rick laughed "It's a good joke." You lied make Rick eye you "I call BS on that." Michonne smiled "So do I." Glenn raises his hand with a huge smiled plastered to his face "It wasn't that bad." Maggie tried to help you out but she couldn't help but laugh.

Daryl sat there with a smirk playing on his lips as he listened to everyone, tomorrow you and Daryl would head out on a run together towards the west as Glenn and Maggie head out in the south for a run. Everyone got up at separate times to head off to bed.

You were the fourth to last one to get up and head to bed "Night y'all and Rick no more lame jokes." Rick smiled and nodded "I can't make a promise." Rick jokes making you smile once more before heading off to bed.

The next morning you woke up and got ready before heading outside "For once you're out here before us?" Glenn taunts "Okay I only overslept twice and that was an accident." Maggie smiles "You two are definitely brother and sister." Glenn nods along with his wife's comment "Sister from another mister." Glenn points to you "Brother from another mother." You point back at him and he smiles.

"Y'all ready to go?" Daryl gets on his bike as Glenn and Maggie get into a car "Hop on." You hop on the back of Daryl's bike and hold onto the seat as you ride out. You split ways from Maggie and Glenn and head out to scavenge some supplies.

You walked through the many stores grabbing what you could "Isn't that your bike?" You ask hearing the faint sound of Daryl's bike starting up.

"Son of a bitch!" Daryl runs out with you following behind and watch as some stranger steals his bike "Looks like a long walk home." You sigh as Daryl hums along to your statement "We better get going then." Daryl leads the way before you both jump back as walkers start filling the area.

"Shit!" You take off running with Daryl as a walker grabs at you and tears a hold in the side of your shirt.

You ran through the woods holding onto the backpack of supplies as Daryl ran behind you, your shirt got caught onto a branch and tore even more it was now just hanging on by a thread.

You yanked it off and left it on the branch before continuing to run "Y/n?" Daryl picked your shirt up and followed your tracks as he found you hunched over and breathing hard.

"Ya forgot your shirt." Daryl held the torn fabric up as you looked back at him "It's done for." Daryl walked over and dropped his bag next to yours.

"Here." You watch him remove his vest before pulling his shirt off and handing it to you.

"He did this to you?" Your eyes looked over the many scars that scattered along his body and Daryl slides his vest back onto his shoulders.

"Don't worry bout it." Daryl looks at you as you slide his shirt on "Daryl." You paused.

"What sunshine?" He looks at you and that's when you catch him off guard by standing up on your tippy toes and wrapping your arms around his neck as you plant a kiss on his lips.

He took no time in reacting as he wrapped his arms around your waist and pulled you closer, enjoying the feeling of your lips on his own. He pulled back and looked at you curiously "What was that for?" Daryl asks curiously as you look up at him with admiration in your eyes.

"I need you to know that someone does truly love you." He looks at you as you back away and pick your backpack up "Ready to walk home?" He picks his bag and follows you through the woods.

You looked down as you felt his rough calloused hand grip yours, his fingers lacing with yours "I love ya too." Daryl admits making you give him a small smile.

You walked home hand in hand seeing Glenn and Michonne were already there "What took you guys so long?" Glenn asks "Someone took his bike, we had to walk home." You fill them in.
