What did they know? Nothing! They knew nothing about you. Who were they wither way to say what's right and what's wrong? Sure, they could be your parents, guardians or whatever. Perhaps they even loved you at some point. They did give you a roof over your head, food and a warm bed. But who the hell were they to say what is ok and what isn't?
They didn't know shit about how you truly felt, so they had absolutely no right to say that you were overreacting or making this all up. No matter how much life experience they had, no matter what they've been through; they had no right to say you were wrong.
You knew what you felt. You knew you didn't feel like your 'old' self anymore, like their little perfect girl. Of course, you were afraid to admit it to them. And what did they do to take away your worries? They fucking kicked you out. And for what? For their stupid stubborn beliefs. It's not like you needed them anyways.
You kicked the rubbish down the street in frustration. The memories of what happened a few days kept replaying in your mind. What were you going to do now? You didn't have time to gather your things, no clothes, no money. What now? They'd refused to let you back in already, which was bad. It was late autumn, soon it might even snow. And all you had was an old sweater and a jean jacket.
Not to mention food. It has been almost two days now since you'd found something. At first you figured that taking from the trash bins behind the restaurants would be a great idea. Then you found out it was actually a lot worse, and way harder than you'd planned it to be. So long story short, you were starving. And you'd do anything just for a bit of proper food.
The rubbish finally fell down the drain and you stopped in your tracks. It was late. The sun had set long ago and the streets were empty; almost dead. Not only that but the lights in the apartments were mostly off. So, maybe it was past midnight already. You should find a shelter for the night, somewhere to sleep. You didn't want to sleep out on the cold again. It was a risk of being robbed from the little you had. Or even worse, being kidnapped. This part of the city wasn't the best one.
You decided to head towards the nearest shelter for homeless people, since you were now one of them. Walking along the empty street, you wondered what would happen to you. Were you going to live like that from now on? Searching for food and shelter? Was there even a possibility of your parents taking you back in? You looked up towards the sky. It was getting cloudy, making the sky seem brighter than it really was. You hoped it wouldn't rain. Was there even a point in-
A loud bang stopped your thoughts. In fact, it made you jump in shock and almost fall down. What was that? You put your hand on your chest in attempt to calm down your heart. It was probably a gunshot. And it sounded close. You should probably get away from here.
But just to your luck the noise of fighting sounded from an alleyway, just a few meters in front of you. Once you realized that, you froze in your place. What were you going to do now? The last thing you wanted was to get caught in something you had nothing to do with. What if they thought you were an enemy as well? Panic overtook you. Your fingers grew cold as you clenched your shirt in attempt to calm your racing heart. You were frozen on your place.
