This is Me

TWENTY-SIX

     "Hey guys!" The Moonlark yelled as she entered the room. Her and Keefe have been spending some time together, and they decided to make a song together. (The song that is going to play is called You Are The Reason by Calum Scott 😉)

    The Moonlark and Keefe walked into her empty recoding studio.

   "You ready?" She asked Keefe as they turned on the lights to her studio.

   "Always," Keefe whispered as they powered up the studio. They went their separate ways. Sophie turned on the recording as Keefe started singing.

   "There goes my heart beating cause you are the reason, I'm losing my sleep, please come back now," Keefe sang, as they pauses the recording and Sophie started singing.

     "There goes my mind racing and you are the reason, that I'm still breathing I'm hopeless now," Sophie sang to Keefe looking at him with adoration.

     "I'd climb every mountain, and swim every ocean, just to be with you and fix what I've broken oh, cause I need you to see that you are the reason," They sand in perfect harmony their faces were inches apart from each other, Sophie could feel Keefe's breath on her cheeks as they sang.

    "That was amazing!" Linh squealed as she bursted into the room with Tam annoyingly following behind her. "You guys are so good!" Linh ran up to hug both of them.

   "T-thanks," Keefe said unsure of what to do as the girl practically crushed them in a hug. Keefe could practically feel Tam's annoyed stare burning a hole in his back. He doesn't know what his problem is.

   "You were amazing Foster," Keefe whispered as she leaned into his chest as they were packing up. They reviewed the recording and started to put it together, so they could give it to Briella. For the rest of the day, that's what they did, listen, piece, together, and save.

     Sophie was getting so much texts from her teachers and assignments that she was getting overwhelmed. All of a sudden breathing became hard to do, her vision was failing her.

   "Foster, Foster you okay?" Keefe said as he started to turn to her. He got scared Sophie's breath was ragged and her face was turning red.

    "Sophie slow down and breath," he whispered to her trying to get her to calm down. "In through your nose out though your mouth." 

   Sophie wanted to cry, she couldn't breathe. She tried listening to Keefe, In and out, in and out, in and out. Her breath started slowing down.

    Keefe noticed that her breath was slowing down back to normal.

   "Keefe!" Sophie cried as she tackled him crying softly into his shoulder. "I'm so sorry." 

   "Don't worry Foster," he said as he wiped a tear from Sophie's cheek, her eyes filled with tears as she looked at him. He knew that she was really busy with being the Moonlark and balancing it with trying to do well in school. 

    "Thanks so much, I don't know what should've happened if you weren't around," Sophie whispered as she laid her head into Keefe's lap, as he stroked her hair.

    "It's all right Foster, you just got too overwhelmed with everything," he said soothingly trying to get her to calm down. 

     "I love you," she murmured tiredly as she fell asleep in Keefe's lap.

     Keefe's had never felt so happy in his life when he heard that.

    "I love you too," Keefe whispered to the sleeping Sophie, the only response he got was Sophie's steady breathing.
