The next day passed in a haze, with everyone doing whatever they could to pass the time. Ennoshita and Tanaka were still oddly quiet. Well, it was odd for Tanaka. Ennoshita, well, he was never exactly noticed in the first place. Noticed or not, he hardly said a word all day, unless he was notifying someone of a bathroom visit, or if he was asking for food. Which he did about twice a day. Tanaka was sitting in a corner, with his knees to his chest and his face in his knees. Nishinoya, being Nishinoya, had known that his friend had had a thing for Ennoshita since, like, forever. And Noya thought they'd be an amazing couple.

And Tanaka hadn't flirted with Kiyoko in forever, meaning that he loved Ennoshita.

According to the mind of the libero, anyway.

So when Noya sidled up next to his best friend, with a mischievous grin on his face, and saw a blush that extended all the way to the ears, he started giggling madly. He couldn't stop. It was so loud that the people in the gym started to stare. And then Ennoshita started laughing. And Suga started laughing, too. There was a brief silence.

Then, the entire gym burst into laughter.

Noya and Tanaka were on the floor, Ennoshita was falling over, Suga was leaning on Daichi and Oikawa, making them fall over too, and Iwaizumi was snorting like a pig. Yachi, Kindaichi, and Kunimi were on the floor, basically screaming of mirth, and Yaku was just about to join them. Kuroo was laughing hysterically, Bokuto, Akaashi, Lev, and Kenma, and Kiyoko were giggling, and even Kinoshita managed to crack a smile.

"Strike a pose!" Noya shouted, and did exactly that, being the drama queen he is. He put his left hand on his hip and tossed his hair, which was getting longer, and the bleached stripe was more of a bleached chunk now. Tanaka giggled and imitated him, but with his right hand. Soon, everyone was striking poses.

It was a perfect moment.

For a moment, all troubles were forgotten.

Until the door flew open with a bang.

And the zombies rushed in.

"Scatter!"

Everyone ran to the door, and rushed in a mad frenzy to whatever shelter they thought of first. Noya almost got trampled, but Asahi ran back and hauled him up, pulling his arm. It was so chaotic, the scream was almost missed, but the scream that followed it was definitely heard by all in the vicinity.

"LEV!"

"Yaku-san, we need to go, now!"

"NO!"

"COME ON!"

That was the last thing anyone could make out, as they all started crying, and kept running.

And once again, everyone was separated.

"Run to the bus! Fast!"

The few people who heard booked it there, away from everyone else, away from the school, away from their friends, away from their home.

"Bathrooms!"

Some people sprinted there instead.

"Club room!"

A few rushed there.

Everyone ended up scattered, confused, shocked, and lost. Tears ran through their eyes.

Tears were a common occurrence in this cruel world.

It was just another day in the apocalypse.
