"We need to go to that camp immediately!" Snaped Lucius, his voice thundering with authority.
"That's not the best course of action!" Alexa reasoned annoyed that they were having the same argument and they still didn't cross the White Castle's gate. Edwin and Diego had gone to the stables, trying to find some horses that they could use.
"You don't tell me what to do!" Lucius snapped, appearing to be a boy throwing a tantrum. "As soon as we get there, I'll call my warriors back, the war is over before it begins and I'll deal with Morgaine, on my way!"
"Well, if what it's being said it's any true, I doubt anyone would follow you, you rule by fear, so if presented with a better and kinder leader they will change their loyalty and you'll find yourself alone!" Reasoned Alexa.
"They can't, they are bound to me by blood."
"Morgaine didn't seem affected, maybe she found a loophole that allowed her to poison you and to kill you, meaning that you might not be necessary."
"If I was to die, everyone, I've made turns human."
"I know!" Alexa added, shrugging her shoulders, seeing how Lucius was looking at her in disbelieve she explained herself. "The Royal House of Zulcan kept it a secret, after Vladimir's sacrifice, but it's documented in our records, I read most of them surrounding the War. So of course, I know, but as I've said, Morgaine might have found some loophole some way of getting if that detail, she wouldn't risk going back to mortality even if it meant killing you, correct me if I'm wrong, but if she found for herself she could've shared that with other who allied with her, don't you think?" Lucius was dumbfounded, looking at the Queen of Zulcan under a new light, the only side he knew of werewolves was the destruction and savagery of their beasts.
"Are you sure you're a werewolf? Talking like that you seem more a vampire than a wolf."
"Yes I'm sure I'm a werewolf, as you've said, my wolf enjoys much of the killing and the savagery that comes with being a werewolf, but I don't find it useful in ruling a kingdom, kindness, justice, intelligence, and some comprehension are better suited for the task. That's why we should be going to Zulcan, in there I can raise an army or at least a small force that can come with us to the camp so you could try to speak with your warriors and if that goes wrong, well we are prepared to attack, if not with full force, at least with one that allows us to retreat to regroup!"
Lucius fell silent, considering all his options, he wasn't liking the idea that he had to convey with Alexa's plan, but that was the only option that seemed doable, with fewer casualties, especially his own.
Edwin arrived at the entrance hall of the Castle, where they were waiting, "I couldn't find any horses, there are only mules."
"I will not ride a mule! That's unbefitting my position!" Lucius snapped, and everyone rolled their eyes.
"I do believe mules are slower and stubborn than the horses, we need to get to Zulcan as fast as possible if we want to prevent this war! What I'd suggest is that we go as we are, not as humans travel, I can turn and my wolf is fast, Edwin can turn too, and his Lycan form is fast too, and as for them they can jump from tree to tree, as you did it when we were traveling,"

"Who do you think I am? For your information I'm not a monkey to jump from tree to tree|" Lucius complained, with his head held high.

"Then do you have any suggestions?" Snapped Alexa a little tired of Lucius' problem finder personality.

Lucius held himself shut as if he didn't hear Alexa, Edwin looked at him, and shook his, not even after all that had happened, he dared to change.

"We will go as you said, Alexa." Agreed Edwin. "If you don't want to come with us, you are free to roam this empty castle, alone!" Edwin knew that the reason Lucius had created so many vampires to live with him was exactly that he was afraid of being alone.

Lucius crossed his arms. "Then what are you waiting for?"

Edwin looked to Diego, "Are you okay to travel with him?" the man looked at Edwin as if he was crazy, that seemed a question done if they weren't all travel together, Edwin stepped up explaining the question, "As a Lycan, I will not be able to communicate with either of you, so I need to know that you'll be fine, traveling alone with him!"

Diego smiled and nodded enthusiastically "Of course, man, I've endured him for so much time, a few miles isn't a bother"

"Thank you, man!" Edwin turned to Alexa, who was smiling, mirroring the smile that was on Edwin's face. "Shall we?"

The anticipation of the moment of joy they felt when they were both turned, made them smiled widely looking into each other's eyes, no one could keep them apart and stole that happiness that they felt when they run together, the freedom and connection they both shared, the feelings they communicated to each other, there were no words that could express it.

Alexa was the first one to begin the turn, Edwin followed, the other two looked at the pair with new eyes, as if their forms explained everything, Edwin's fur was black as the moonless night, and his eyes were of a blue like an ocean, or better like an iceberg when it touches the water, in the other hand, Alexa's fur was a white as snow, pure untouched, her eyes purple, like flowers, it glowed with excitement.

The couple looked behind them then they both sprinted out of the castle like it was a game, leaving the other two looking dumbfounded in the entrance hall, but quickly they joined the others and the journey back to Zulcan to prevent a war from the beginning.
