Hidden behind the bushes he only knew where Elia was by intuition, he couldn't see her and she couldn't see him, they were surveilling the enemy camp, gathering information about their plan of action, earlier on, Elia had knocked out one wolf she undressed it and dressed it herself, so she could go inside the camp and destroy as many things as she could, it was risky, but it needed to be her, the wolf she knocked out cold was a woman that was still unconscious, tied and gaged.
They saw the carriage arrived, escorted by two hundred vampires, they also noted that half of that number were servants, but as they knew they could be turned into warriors, with time and patience and a little bit of a good cause that inflamed their hearts, as Truman and Flora we're doing.
From the bigger tent in the middle of the camp, they saw a man a little younger than them, maybe the same age as Truman leaving the tent in anger, he kicked two wolves, in his path, his rage was palpable even from that distance. They waited until everyone was inside the tents and discovered where the vampires were staying, then they left their post, with the she-wolf with them, tied up.
On their way to the castle, they stopped in the villages closed by and posted a red flag into the center of town, it was a warning everyone knew about, put fire to the camps and move towards the Castle, that night three beacons of light were lit and everyone knew what was happening and what they should do. The village closer to the castle should go there and take refuge, the ones further apart should pick up arms and get there ready to fight.
It was a system implemented millennia ago but rarely used, once they usually we're summoned by the sorceress, but still, everyone knew about it.
They reached the Castle early in the morning, the she-wolf that they captured struggled to be free of her binds, they took her to the dungeon, lock her in a cell, and removed the binding:
- Sorry about that! - Elia asked the woman who spat in her face.
Andrew enraged and was about to kick her, but Elia stopped him:
- She doesn't know anything else. I'm sorry we had to abduct you from what you knew, but this is of vital importance. We are just like you! - Elia replied to the woman. - We are wolves, but instead of walking around following a mad man half-naked and without training, we are well clothed, instructed, and follow a kind-hearted person. How many times did he beat you in rage? - Asked Elia who had noticed the bruises all over the woman's body.
The woman stood quiet her eyes bigger as if she couldn't believe that this stranger got on point what had become her life:
- We kind of chosen this life for ourselves and it was the best thing that happened to me. Did you have a choice? - She asked, the woman trembled as if any question was a sharp knife. - I'm Elia and this is my mate, Andrew. Can you tell us your name? I've already asked to be sent here some clothes for you to dress, clean hot water for you to wash up.
- I'm Patricia. - Said the woman, her dark brown eyes showed intelligence and some stubbornness.
- How old are you? - Elia asked.
- Twenty years old. - She answered after thinking if it was a good idea.
- How old were you when you were turned?
- Fifteen. - Short answers, we're all they were getting, but it was something other than silence and spit, she still looked at them with distrust in her eyes.
- How did you feel on your first moon? - Elia asked, without breaking eye contact.
- Terrified and alone, I didn't know what was happening to me it hurt everywhere, and then I couldn't control my own actions, even if I was in another body. I ended up killing a person, but that is just what wolves do. Didn't you felt the same?
