Chapter 20 - The Prophecy

Laying down in the arms of love there mustn't be anything better than that.

Felling loved and contemplating the rocky sky above her head, she felt his breath that was odd because vampires didn't need to breathe she looked at him devouring him with her eyes trying to memorize every little detail he was sleeping, resting soundly, but her moving woke him up.

- Hello beautiful! - He said in a low voice.

- Do vampires need to breathe? - She asked.

He arched a brow confusion on his face.

- No. We don't need to breathe. We only do it to smell things.

- You were breathing regularly like me or a human!

- Odd... But maybe that it's just some of the things that were an exchange between us! - He said smiling.

- How?...

- The Water Nymph explained to me that once we mated some things would be exchanged between us. Like the blood, I can only feed on you now...

- It better be! I don't want your mouth in any other woman! - She said immediately.

- Wow jealousy much? - He asked her arching a brow.

- Werewolves are possessive with is theirs. And you are my mate only mine.

- You should know that vampires can be as possessive as a werewolf if not more. Just so you know no man will ever touch you again.

- Right. Then what else it'll be different? - She asked.

- Your wolf will be less wild, we will be able to feel each other feelings and we can't live if the other one dies. The borders will not affect us and our temperature will become more like humans.

- Congratulations! - A melodic voice sounded from inside the lake.

Alexa and Edwin were startled by the voice and looked towards its location they found the Water Nymph that had helped Edwin:

- Thank you! - Said Alexa in a whisper, covering herself with clothes.

- You're welcome dear Queen. Now I have something to share with you. You must listen carefully.

- We are listening. - Explained Edwin.

- The ones you seek are in the ancient ruins of Thunder and Rain, they are preparing to march against the wolves since they are weak without their Queen to protect the city and they also have the help of some vampires loyal to Morgaine. Be aware that Morgaine, Flavius, and Rufus are working on this together, the illness of Lucius is nothing more than Dead Men blood mixed with virgins blood and a spill of werewolf blood. They planned to overthrow the vampires and werewolves to join them in a crusade against the Merchant Council so they could rule over the entire world. They plan to eliminate the others once the plan is executed because they want to eliminate any other races. But that is for you both to think and to plan! Now we have more important matters to take care of. Alexa, you need to turn now so you know your wolf, Edwin you need to feed and try to turn as soon as possible. In two months Alexa you can't change anymore and your wolf will not let you change.

- Why is that? - Alexa asked curiously.

- Because of tonight's event, you succeed to become pregnant with Edwin's seed. That only proves that you are fated to be mates like once before it shall be again. But heed this caution there's a prophecy that entails when a werewolf and a vampire became true mates mated and pregnant that can mean the salvation or the destruction of the two species. It depends on both of you. This war started because of this prophecy is only just that is the completion of this prophecy that it shall end!

- How's that? - Edwin asked, never before had he ever heard this prophecy.

- Sienna was in love with a young vampire, I believe it was you father Edwin, Vladi, he was about to leave your mother and to claim Sienna, Leonidas' sister, but he discovered everything and preferred to go to war than allowed the possibility of the prophecy to became true.

Alexa looked up to Edwin who had a year in his eyes:

- I will not let any prophecy became between me and Alexa I don't believe in prophecies! And everyone who does is just fear of living life!

The Water Nymph smiled as if she knew he would say that:

- You are the strength to each other do not ever forget that! Congratulations on the pregnancy! And goodbye!

The water Nymph submerged in the waters of the lake leaving the couple looking to the other side of the cave.
