Chapter 19♡

(Olivia's P.O.V)

As I got to work, the whole office was quiet. Looking at my watch, it read 9.00am. Where was Finn? Carisi? Amanda? Elliot was coming in later on as he had to go and check on some bits for the nursery delivery. Going to my office, I saw that the door was ajar. Putting my bag on the floor, I took my gun out. Instinct kicked in.. "Who's there?" I heard a door open.. "Come out now!" Hearing the door, fear hit me. Taking my phone out, I called Elliot. "Hi.. someone's here at the office. Please.. hurry up." He asked if the baby was ok. "She's fine.. but please Ell. Hurry up." After ending the call, the guy looked at me. He had dark brown hair.. he was wearing a leather jacket and combat boots.. "Detective Olivia Benson. It's nice to see you again." Did I know this guy?

"Who are you?" I was starting to feel really light headed. "I don't remember you." Standing near the door, he asked me to open my bag. "Give me 40 dollars! Do it now!" My hands felt so shaky.. handing him the money. "Good. Now stand up straight!" Placing my hands on my stomach, I wanted to protect our little baby. "I'm Zack. Your boyfriend shot my cousin." Alarm bells rang in my head..

"I shot him. Self defence. He was going to shoot me." Cragen ordered him not to say anything. "Liv.." Comforting him.. we heard cars. They covered the whole crime sence. "Are you Detective Elliot Stabler?" Another cop walked up to me. Saying yes, he asked me what had unfolded. "I couldn't help it. He was about to shoot me." The other cop took a statement as Olivia rang the others. "Go home Liv. I'll call you in the morning." Cragen rubbed my shoulder.

"My boyfriend had to shoot him. He was going to kill him either way." Zack ordered me to stay near the door, put my hands up.. "You keep talking and I'll shoot you. Your baby will die." Not letting the tears flow, I stayed as strong as I could. "OLIVIA! BABY!" That was it.. "Shut up.." His hand clasped over my mouth.." I saw Elliot's jaw drop open. "COME OUT NOW YOU SICK IDIOT! LET GO OF HER!" I could tell that he recognised him as well. Smashing the office door open, he let me go. "Liv.. are you ok baby?" He then had the gun in his hand. "I told you that I would find you again one day. You killed Zack." Elliot felt my forehead. "You're warm. Let's get you to the hospital."

Letting Finn, Amanda and Carisi take care of the guy, Elliot took me to the doctors office. "I'm fine." Elliot knew me better than that. "Just to make sure." I was quiet during the drive. "I know for a fact.. that you're not Liv." The annoying thing is that he was right. Being independent and defensive wasn't always the right thing to do. "Ok.. Ell. I'm feeling a bit shaken up." As he parked the car, we went into the doctor's office. Seeing her sit down, she wiped away a stray tear. "Ell.. I lied. I was petrified." Cuddling her, she started to just breathe. "Olivia Benson?" Hearing my name, I followed the nurse into the doctor's room.

My hand stroked my stomach as the doctor asked if I was ok."Yeah. I'm just fine.' Laying on the bed, the doctor looked around for our little girl. "Here she is." The sound of her heartbeat filled the room. "I'm starting to get Braxton Hicks. They aren't very nice." The doctor laughed as he figured out how long I had left. "They are normal. You'll be there soon. I'd advise to take pain relief though." After giving me the scan picture, Elliot marvelled at the picture. "She's so cute already." Straightening my top, I asked the doctor if I could talk to him in private. "I'll be outside Liv."

I explained everything. From my bad thoughts to the fact that I was petrified of becoming a mother. "I'm scared that I will mess this child up. Like, my own mother messed me up. I become defensive. Scared. Elliot sees every bit of it. I've been clean for about 7 months now. I just don't know how to stop the thoughts.." My doctor advised me to keep seeing my counsellor. "You're doing the right thing for you and your little girl right now. Elliot loves you to pieces. I'd advise to keep your options open. Elliot knows you too well." I agreed with that. "Thankyou so much Dr Green." Getting my bag, I went back outside to the waiting area. "Ready to go?" Elliot stood up. Rubbing my shoulder. "Yeah." Looking at the scan picture, I smiled. On the way home, Elliot told me that he had wrote a list for me. "Ahh thanks babe."

As we got home, I went straight upstairs to the spare room. As my phone buzzed, I texted Amanda and Nina back.

Nina: How did it go at the doctors? Seth is being too cute lately. What are you up to tonight?X

Amanda: Hiya. How are you doing? I hope your doctor's appointment went well.💜🙂Xx

Texting them both back, I took a look at the list that my boyfriend had written.

Cot (ordered.)
Paint (downstairs.)
Wardrobe (ordered.)
Clothes (will be ordering them with Liv)

Elliot then came upstairs into the room with some cans of light pink paint. "Hey." Kissing him quickly, he prepared the room as I went to sit down in the corner. "I've been excited to do this all day." Giggling, I saw that he had changed into some house clothes. "Mom said she's looking forward to seeing us tomorrow." Replying back to the texts from the girls, I heard my phone ring. "It's Cragen." Letting him talk, he asked me about the case that was closed a few weeks ago. "Yes Captin. Ariel did say that her mom was being attacked at the time." I kept trying to suppress my laugh as Elliot was humming a radom song as he continued to paint the walls. The pink suited it so well. "Yes. I'll come in tomorrow to talk to her some more." Ending the call, Elliot had managed to finish one side of the wall. "I love it so much.' He bowed. "I'm pretty proud of myself too Liv." Walking over to me, his lips touched mine.. slowly. He kissed me again until I groaned. "Don't start what you can't finish Stabler." Laughing, he rubbed my stomach. Heading to the bathroom, I decided to spend some more time in the her new bedroom.

It was day 1 and he had already finished painting one wall of his princess's bedroom. I loved him. All I do is shut him down. I was going to end up breaking his heart. Texting Nina back, I asked her how her pregnancy was going.

Well, Seth has been with me to every scan. I've felt pretty relaxed. He's convinced that we are having a boy. I'll love whatever we have. Xx

My appointment went very well. My doctor advised me to keep going to counselling as it seems to be helping. I hope Jessie and Billie are alright. Xxx

Getting up, I made my way upstairs to our bedroom. "Hey Ell." Peeking in the shower, he washed his face. "Hey beautiful." Helping him step out of the shower, he kissed me. Getting my night clothes, I decided to have a shower as well. "Cragen rang me to talk about Ariel. She's having some troubles at home I think." Elliot advised maybe going to see her. "I think it's a good idea. We've got to go in on Monday anyway." After my shower, I got dressed in some comfy pjs. "I can't wait until she's here. I think I look so ugly."

Elliot pulled me close.. making the hairs on my neck stand up. "Well, I think you look amazing."

And with that.. he kissed me. ♡
