April, Janet and Jessie went to Serian, a city located at the very border of the country and the mainland. It had been years since April went out of Ace Island, the largest man made island. While Serian was located at the south of the mainland, Ace Island was an island at the north of the city. However, both regions were separated by a city called Simunjan. As embarrassed as she wanted to admit, she never went to Serian before. She was born and raised at Sibu, studied at Sibu and travelled to Ace Island the moment she and June graduated.
The traveling hour between Ace Island and the Serian city only took three hours by car. Janet took her own car for the trip and had April and Jessie as passengers. April was intrigued with the change of views; business island to a long bridge floated on the sea, then to the abundance of greenery along the highway to a huge-tall corporate building. Serian city was mainly an industrial city compared to a corporate city like Ace Island.
She had seen tall buildings in Sibu and Ace Island but never been that BIG and TALL. As much as she wanted to walk around the city, she had to refuse the temptation and focused on their training.
"Girl! I know some good places to go. After we finish our 'evaluation', we're gonna have girls' night out! Don't worry, we've five days, remember? As long as we finish quickly, we'll be fine."
Jessie said cheerfully. 'Five days on two spa resorts...'. April and Janet looked at each other anxiously.
"Well, as long as we finished the work. It should be fine, right April?"
'Janet, why did you ask me back?!'. The two girls started to look at her with begging eyes. 'Urgh... Don't give me the stares...'. April could only sigh and nod in agreement. The two satisfied with her response. 'As long as we finished.'. April felt a huge burden since the start a trip. Anxious if it would be any more busier than they had expected but it turned out different.
The first day went smoothly. The work started with a morning breakfast with the manager of the spa resort, then a brief meeting about the layout of the resort, meeting several important staff, lunch, after that the girls observed the vicinity and finally, dinner. Back into their room, they started to write reports and stuff. It was much more relaxing than April and Janet had thought. It passed 10pm by the time they finished.
"Oh my god! Have you read the news? Charlie and Pette caught kissing!"
Jessie shouted while lying on the bed and holding her phone. Jenat voices replied from the bathroom with excitement.
"My god! I thought Pette had a girlfriend. Damn, poor girl got cheated on a dick."
April didn't join their gossip. It was never her thing but being an audience was an exception, at least that how she thought it worked.
"She got something to explain now or.... Wait, she's a bi, isn't? I think she said that some time ago."
"No, that's her girlfriend, Diana. The Celeb News interviewed the couple and she just dropped the bomb like that. She got some guts, I tell you. Rather than a fight, I think Diana probably welcomed Charlie to their bed hahaha..."
April still wasn't used to her different personality outside of work. She was the gossip monger of the three. They had been close since the two started their training. Jessie being the social bug, Janet being a gossiper and April being the listener. It was entertaining, they got to loosen up after some heavy work and training. Janet as per usual, hadn't finished her words.
"Talking about dating. I heard the news that Onyx Holmesfield is dating some green haired guy. Who would have thought the secretist man like him would carelessly slip his romance secret. A few days ago, his car was spotted at Riam parking lot. Some people also saw him entering the apartment room and then, the green haired guy got inside the room as well. Those two didn't walk out of the room until the next morning, with some visible HICKIES! Look! Look!"
