Onyx's body was reported by the medical worker that arrived at the scene. The other firemen, the medical workers and some of the servants came out as witnesses to the scene. A fire broke but he came out last and shot himself as he felt depressed from the failure of his business. The witnesses of the night were paid for compensation and threatened to cover their mouth. Nevertheless, the story certainly didn't convince his friends.

Quartz had met with Alabaster but the other story he received only gave him anger rather than closure. He was told Onyx tried to shoot April but was shot first. The lie worked on him as he knew Onyx had been crazy enough to shoot him over the woman. Quartz explained the 'real' story to his friends. They didn't believe it as much as him.

"So, do you expect him to shoot himself? That guy kidnapped her for god sake!"

Quartz shouted at the three friends of his. Marble thought he still held a grudge against Onyx after the incident but the story also held some credit. Tuff and Tufa were doubtful of the story but they could only agree as much as Marble. Their relationship didn't heal up as one had expected to be. Quartz distanced himself again from the group, but the three couldn't complain. As much as they knew he hated Onyx, he didn't spend the same amount of time with him like they did in recent years.

Onyx they knew were intelligent and reasonable man. He couldn't be that emotional, even though his behaviour had drastically changed recently. They couldn't believe it as much. But further investigation was difficult as most of the witnesses were traumatized with the incident and refused to speak further.

Marble was having a bad mood when he got home that day but someone was waiting for him patiently at home with a sweet smile on her lips. He put the matter at the back of his mind when he saw her. The couple had a much closer relationship than before. Sometimes, Jenat cooked him some dinner and they shared the meal together. Turned out, she really knew how to cook. Marble couldn't be more surprised. She had her wild side but she could be an innocent little sheep as well. That dinner, Jenat excitedly told Marble, her friend had contacted her again. Marble knew the other story but he listened to her anyway.

April told her she was given a sudden trip but the place had trouble with telecommunication devices. So, she couldn't reach anyone throughout the trip. It was the same like how Jessie had told her, so Jenat wasn't suspicious of anything. Besides, she also had a sudden trip before as well. However, her expression changed slightly after that. Her expression depressed as she looked at him quietly. He knew what she said through her eyes but Marble only smiled weakly.

It felt weird to think his friend had died at such a young age. He was only 27 and they were at the same age. Sourness came to his nose as he remembered their good time together. He always looked up at Onyx. He was such a reliable friend to have. Jenat noticed his fallen expression and held his hand. She apologized for reminding him of his friend. For him, it felt like a jar of water finally spilled as he couldn't contain his emotions. Tears stained his cheeks, his lips trembled as he tried to contain himself.

He had lost his best friend.

Jenat stayed with him that night. She never saw him being emotional like that but she probably cried as well if her friend left like that. They lay on the bed together. Marble lay his head on Jenat's shoulder while she caressed his head. The comfort made him sleepy and finally closed his eyes.

Although he was asleep, she was still awake. She remembered how weird it was when Alabaster and April went missing together. Jessie told her he had to extend his trip, while she had a trip in another place with a poor phone signal. She wasn't confident but felt that the two could've spent their private time together, at least that was what she thought.
