April and June had been living in Alabaster's villa for all this time. He insisted for them to stay here due to the heavy security around the town and the place. He would make time to visit them 2-3 times a week and gave some updates regarding Onyx's movement. They couldn't go out at all at this rate. Onyx had his people everywhere around the country to look for her. He just went crazy, they thought.
So, she decided to talk to him but Alabaster wasn't a fan of the idea. She had to persuade him a lot. She knew he could do damage to them but she didn't want to be involved in illegal activities nor did she want him to do that for her. June had given her advice on how to 'persuade' him but somehow, it sounded a bit.... too intimate. June didn't spare any detail.
Today, he should be coming. She was ready. She had her white V neck shirt that wrapped her torso perfectly, orange high tight pants and her hair was let down. She was waiting at the sofa as June left her and went to his bedroom. She was nervous but she knew they couldn't let this madness continue. The doorbell finally rang and the game began.
Alabaster came inside and noticed she was waiting for him. All the tiredness he had disappeared instanly when he saw the view. April had prepared some refreshment on the table and she wore... He raised his brows in amusement. 'What day is today?', he started to hope for something special. Lately, he had worked himself hard to protect her, even with those questioning looks Zhongli gave him. None of his other family protest though. They thought it was fine as long as he didn't ignore his duty.
His mother especially told him to bring flowers everytime he would visit her. Jiu had been so excited about April and talked to herself about being granny and finally having some grandchild. Needless to say, Alabaster wasn't very sure how to handle her sudden burst of energy and only nodded when needed. His father however only stood by the sidewalk and agreed to whatever she said but they all knew he didn't hear any of it.
Alabaster still bought a bouquet of bougainvillea though. April was pleasantly surprised, bougainvillea was her favourite flower. She received them with a wide smile. Again, his heartbeat got faster but he didn't feel sick at all, instead it was a pleasant feeling. He had questioned himself a lot and one time when he asked Jarome about it, Jarome told him to go see the doctor. Jarome was being sarcastic of course, but he took it too seriously and went to hospital. Jarome was speechless.
He expected the doctor to prescribe him some medicine instead he got some love advice. He left with more questions. He wasn't an innocent boy but never really paid much attention to emotional stuff except for his family. Being emotionally invested in someone else wasn't his plan. He never really thought seriously about it because being a businessman has always been his top priority. He was always busy. He didn't even have much time for himself... but now, he wasn't really sure. He never felt this attached to someone with no blood relation before.
They sat on the sofa and had their casual chat. Her voice sounded like the best song he ever heard. Her laugh made his heart worth beating each day. Her smile looked as tasty as a dessert. He questioned himself before, was it worthy to keep her here. Now, it felt nothing like he ever felt, worthy didn't match his description. Their happy moment didn't last long though.
April felt that Alabaster had a good mood today, so it was a great time to talk to him about her request. She reached his arm and held it lightly. She felt so nervous about it and made some pink tint on her cheeks. Alabaster noticed the change and he was excited to know what would come out from her mouth.
"Al, I know... I know you insist on taking care of things yourself but please listen to me."
The initial smile slowly faded away as he understood her word. She had been suggesting, to let her talk to Onyx, in which he didn't like it a bit. They had argued a few times before but both weren't willing to back down.
